Yes it’s the E-Tron GT. Could be the RS but they both have that bootlid flipper…

I didn’t post as I had been at the Audi dealers earlier this week in the UK and looked at one. We will switch one of our UK cars to electric when we come back - either MINI cooper S to MINI Electric, or Audi S8 to the E-Tron RS or Porsche Taycan 4S.

Well - no guarantee that any of them will be available anyway without a long wait. Haven’t seen any used ones around. Maybe I’ll strike oil in the back garden so I can keep the ones we have while it’s £2/ltr or c$10/US gallon.

I think in the short term we’ll likely change the MINI first. I had to do several day trips to Edinburgh and back during the last two pandemic years (my daughter is at Uni there) and that’s c700 miles (1250 Km) round trip so atm electric is tricky.

The VW is an definitely a “small car” option! I’m hoping in maybe another 12 months the choices and production capacity will have expanded.

I will check the new ID.buzz and on the other end the new BMW Isetta-like Microlino or the Artega Karo (however they will call that Karo finally. That will be produced less than 20 kms from here). We have just finished the parking lot for one of them (close to the main power unit of the house). Unfortunately none is a REAL substitute for our VW T5.2 Multivan which tows the boat, has a 1.000 km range with just one refill of good old Diesel and carries 7 persons with lugguage. If needed with 200 km/h although that became non political correct, so I´m fine with 140 km/h..

John's sense was correct, but Andreas got it spot-on.  It's an Audi e-tron GT, with a USD sticker price of %115,000, or there about.  I was at the dealer having preventive maintenance on our 9-year-old A5.  Well done, Andreas.  Your turn.

I test drove the e-Tron GT RS a month or so ago.  It is a phenomenal car, with very good range.  Its acceleration was warp-speed fast.  I couldn’t afford the price sticker, and I wish to keep my licence.  But the finish and quality was fantastic.

We also tried the e-Mini.  Nice, but a range of 200km counted it out.
