  1. Thanks for this, M9reno! valuable information And thank you too, a.noctilux.
  2. Dear Luigi, thanks very much for this. My interest has been provoked by https://www.reddotcameras.co.uk/screw-lenses/15290-leitz-summilux-50mm-f14-l-39.html
  3. Does anyone have any thoughts on this lens, the first version of the Summilux 50mm f1.4 in screw mount produced between 1959 and 1961 as I understand it? Imaging quality? scarcity?
  4. Here, a propos of nothing, is a picture of an M3 with a 35mm Summicron with goggles. The lens seems to have been made in 1959. I bought the lens and camera from a friend around fifteen years ago, and had the lens cleaned and the body serviced by Leica UK. One of the shutter curtains needed replacing. I didn't think about this much until last year when suddenly the 8-element Summicron started to attract a lot of interest. Until then this old lens seemed to be rather disparaged. Interesting how things change.
  5. Shades of Herbert List?
  6. 3pts -- erl 2pts -- thomas 1 pt -- Pyrogallol Sorry I missed this one! Wasn't paying attention to what was happening on the forum.
  7. M10R, apo Summicron-m, 50mm f2. Nov 2020. West Coast Park, Singapore.
  8. Road bridges, Singapore. SL2-S + Leica 24-70 f2.8 (I was only borrowing the kit for the afternoon to try it out.) The ferris wheel in the background ("The Singapore Flyer") looks as if it is about to fall over, for some reason.
  9. Chinese Garden, Singapore. 2016. Leica M9-P.
  10. Iron tree, Ai Wei Wei, Yorkshire Sculpture Park. July 2019 Leica M10, Apo-Summicron-M 50mm Asph

  12. Yes, indeed. Well done to the winners! And many thanks, Pyrogallol, for organizing this round. I look forward to Doug A's choice of theme. The proposed schedule looks fine to me. All best John
  13. Congratulations! and Happy Birthday to the Leica Forum. It has been great to meet everyone over the years. The forum is a rich resource on all Leica-related matters.
