But, though I still agree that the Q3 (and PhotoLab) do an excellent job of the B&W, without much effort, I think I prefer the colour version.

@SingingSnapper  Nice.  Did you "photoshop" the sky in either version?  (FWIW, I like the B&W better -- but both are great!)

Thanks.  It is the actual sky, I did use a LR preset which I then adapted.  I used the polariser in Nik Color, and converted to BW in Silver Efex using the red filter and the Ilford Pan 50 with 13% Silver which is my go to for BW conversions with a good deep blue sky.  I also prefer the BW in this case.  i try to use processing to bring out what I like about the colours from cameras I use.

I have never seen the Thames look so glamorous before. Is this the new Leica-Technicolor Look?  😃 David

Wonderful shot!!  Is that a heavy crop or did you get in close and rely on the monkey already having food and so not interested in running away with your camera? 🙂

This is heavily cropped as I didn’t want to stress the monkeys more then necessary. As far as we have seen, the monkeys did behave very well and we tried to stay away from bigger groups of people (and monkeys) during our visit. For comparison I show you the full sized picture:
