robertdecastro Posted March 8, 2019 Share #581 Posted March 8, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks for the input. I thought it probably sounds a bit more alarming than the situation in reality. At least it’s a big step up in weather protection from the original Q. Advertisement Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Hi robertdecastro, Take a look here Q2 47 mps, Dirt & Drip proof & new EVF (FWIW!). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dancook Posted March 8, 2019 Share #582 Posted March 8, 2019 (edited) Nothing much exciting, just putting battery onto charge, last one was taken in 50mm crop mode. I have done nothing with the colours, export from lightroom RAW. links included for full size jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7873/47265125762_7da468f444_o.jpg Welcome, dear visitor! Leica Guy Posted March 8, 2019 Share #585 Posted March 8, 2019 Dan. What’s your experience the new EVF? Big difference? Thanks. I also look forward to hearing your comparisons of images from both cameras.
jbripley Posted March 8, 2019 Share #586 Posted March 8, 2019 I'm interested in how much the multi zone focus has improved? From the specs it looks like it's jumped from 49 focus points to 225.

Q2 - EVF feels bigger, colour is more true to life, contasty the shutter is quieter on the q2 Edited March 8, 2019 by dancook
plantagoo Posted March 8, 2019 Share #588 Posted March 8, 2019 Can‘t say much about the difference of the face detect autofocus and mlti zone - because I shoot my Qs only in single point, manual or spot. About the splash proof. Kai Wong did a (pretty bad - for his standards) video on the Q2 -> https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ymzMuCY-QO4 Greeings Erik
dancook Posted March 8, 2019 Share #589 Posted March 8, 2019 (edited) I'll take the dog for a walk and take alternate photos of things and see how the Q and Q2 compare, just to see what the raw starting point for each is. dancook Posted March 8, 2019 Share #590 Posted March 8, 2019 (edited) We didn't get far before cold rain started to pelt us, so came back - but i did get a quick shot of the post box. f1.7, auto iso auto shutter speed, import to LR and export without any changes. The green in the co-op banner seems the most obvious difference. Q followed by Q2 Welcome, dear visitor! viramati Posted March 8, 2019 Share #592 Posted March 8, 2019 Keep it coming please. My dealer has one with my name on it which I could pick up next week but I am really a little unsure as I am now pretty happy with my A7rIII with the 24 GM (24mm/f1.4) and this Q2 is really very expensive

We get it.

Well sort of but I am really interested in seeing some more peoples input on various aspects of the camera. 24GM on the A7rIII is just superb but a little wide for me but on the other hand is in many ways from an IQ perspective similar to the Q2
Del_Pierro Posted March 8, 2019 Share #596 Posted March 8, 2019 Did someone test the buffer already? It`s kind of annoying that my Q locks up after a couple of shots even when I don`t shoot in "c", since the Q2 DNGs are much larger I hope they improved the buffer significantly? Thanks! dancook Posted March 8, 2019 Share #599 Posted March 8, 2019 (edited) ISO 6400 with minor sharpening (18) no NR hm i think there's something about the led lights and walls in my lounge that show blotchyness in high ISO, happens on other cameras Welcome, dear visitor! I’d be very interested in your take / impressions on IQ of the Q2 versus the Q. You're an experienced Q user. I expect you’d pretty immediately notice any differences good or bad. I’m not asking for an exhaustive test, but instead your experienced perspective. Thanks.
