Marumi filter should be arriving tomorrow... in the meantime, I couldn't resist taking a picture of this lady posing in the backyard. Shot at f2.8, I think I need to dial it up a bit further next time to make sure the whole subject is in focus.

Bug on our window last evening. I grabbed the Q2 and put a Hoya Close-up filter on and took a few dozen shots. This was the best one. Really beautiful little bug. Clear wings. Leica Q2, Macro mode, 1/50, f/4, ISO 1600, handheld. 

It might be worthwhile to explain my procedure for focusing. I select manual focus and move the lens for the closest focus possible  I then use the lcd and magnify by 6X. I then move close to the bug and try and get the exact distance for perfect focus. I start low speed continuous shutter and move slightly back and forth from the image believing some of the images should be the best focused. I eliminate everyone in post that’s not sharp.
