How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

Sunset over grain loading platform. A favourite beach spot nestled in between ship ports and refineries. This jetty is to load wheat into ships from adjacent silos via conveyor system. Perhaps I was on the wrong side of the jetty to capture the ship however managed this image of the setting sun. Kwinana CBH Grain Terminal

The chalice of Tassilo, an item which is of very  big importance in the history of the monastery of Kremsmünster in Upper Austria. The photo shows a picture on the wall of the shop of the monastery as it is not permitted to take pictures of the original chalice. But I think this photo gives an impression of it. Photo made with SL 601 and Leica 24/90 at 27 mm.

Astro Show - with the SL 601 and 21 SEM. This is my first attempt with Astro photography. It looks okay on my screen but the reduced size version for posting may have crushed some details. It was freezing cold out last night but quite enjoyable.
