When I am walking around and see vegetation bursting forth again in Spring I often wonder what the lifetime of trees such as this must have witnessed. The structure of the tree itself fascinates me - the leverage at the joints of those thick wide heavy branches to the main stem must be enormous. nature is so wonderful.\

My usual C112 on Program setting.

The Giants are coming.

This is one of a set of 20ft wicker sculptures made to adorn the 2012 Olympics in London.  There being no ready home for them afterwards they returned to their makers in Nottinghamshire.

It is now well over a year since I determined to create a portfolio of "inconsequential" images with my Leica C(112) while walking my dog.  I still carry the C with me at all times, but along side that I have started rejuvenating my interest in 35mm film - at the moment using my 70 year old Range Finder camera.  If this works out, maybe I might be enthused enough to search for an affordable Leica film camera, although equally, why change if the old mechanical camera delivers the goods. I am only telling this to explain that my contributions on this thread will not be as constant for a while, without lessening my interest in contributions from others.

Cheeky chap has become something of a frequent visitor - a view yesterday again through the kitchen window.  Seems to think he has squatter's rights!

I explored this track as a new walk - doubtless it will be much more pleasant when dried out a bit.

The way fine detail has been captured reminds me again that 'Little Elsie' really is a quite remarkable camera.  (Please click-through for higher res version).

I agree. The power of this little marvel is quite extraordinary bearing in mind its size and specification.  Little wonder they seem to hold their price reasonably well - probably because one needs to search around to find used cameras.
