"Mind the dust"

It is interesting that dust seems to be a non-image aspect of photography that is neither film, nor lens based. It is actually an independent aesthetic element within a photographic framework. Depending on the temporarity of it´s occurrence one can talk of dust a priori and dust a posteriori in relation of the taking of a picture. Maybe, I am wrong and it is simply photogram that would make it an image aspect? What do you think? Any opinions?

archeologists of times ahead will be mystified by the sudden appearance of these  strange objects in the 2 nd  millennium stratum.   I'm sure there will be excellent and highly scholarly pieces on the causes of the sudden appearance of these, most likely, mouth-pieces. The most probable  explanation will be, that  body shame, concerning so far innocent and vital orifices  went viral, possibly as part of a cult....

for me, dust on my pictures is not an esthetic element, I just hate it.
