I am, just for a few days, in Munich. Perhaps tomorrow I‘ll manage to visit the Asamkirche again. Today we visited the Marienmünster in Diessen, but I have not yet pictures to show.

Thank you Klaus - one day it would be my dream to visit Munich again. I don't think I'd need much convincing to avoid the Hofbräuhaus next time - I left a lifetime's supply of brain cells there and thereabouts back in 1980 - but the Pinakothek der Moderne has definitely jumped to the top of my list - your pictures illustrate exactly why.

Well, maybe one stein wouldn't hurt...

If you are interested in Musea there are many excellent ones to visit in Munich. My favourite in terms of content is actually the “Alte Pinakothek”. Also the way they treated the bomb damage when rebuilding it after the war is unique. But I agree that the PdM has some great views in terms of architecture as well...

FLAT ROCK.   [Tri-X]

The rock is not flat as the name suggests, it's the name the place goes by. A sweet little spot between Tarana and O'Connell, inland New South Wales, peaceful camping and fishing; both brown and rainbow trout... when there is enough water in the stream of course.

Genetics at play. Griggs came by for a visit, was my grandson's (not yet 2 years) first meeting with him. He, my grandson, showing no fear or apprehension, squealed with joy and immediately wanted to play. Griggs was up for it.  It was getting on toward the end of daylight. All I had was my Kodak Retina. Like grandfather, like grandson.

I love this poem with three stanze ( strophes ?); the last culminating in a wistful goodbye-but there is hope, there will be another day and more play !

This is exactly the place-according to the map- where Alexander Humboldt and his companion Aimé Alexandre Bonpland took the temperature of the Orinoko on their attempt to find the sources and eventually got  lost in  the maze of the meanders...  😅

Stop, rewind, its only colors...

It's the blue--so subtle, yet significant. It's the blue that keeps me awake, that arc to the blue. Soaring composition, captivating. The blue.

had to look this up. But that's a part of the fun in this thread: the glimpse into different realities and their trivialities. And yes: a well known flavor the upper one, combined with something unexpected, perhaps "tundra" or "lichen"... 😳

Great pics and side story and I’d say Retropan is an able companion to the old timer Kodak Retina you used. I’m deciding whether to order a couple of rolls along with the more regular Fomapan. Foma Films are competitively priced over here, somewhat cheaper than Ilford and way cheaper than Kodak.

PS How did Giggs get to be called Giggs?
