Michael Geschlecht Posted October 30, 2021 Share #16306 Posted October 30, 2021 Hello Andreas, Could we be in Monaco? And, could the cars have anything to do with Philadelphia, or thereabouts? Best Regards, Michael

The cars themselves are not so historically important but their owner is (in his small part of the world), who got them as gifts from foreign governments. And we have a winner! Excellent. Over to you. On Makarios lll: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Makarios_III The location is his former palace. The armoured Fleetwood was a gift from the US government. 2
Charles Morgan Posted October 30, 2021 Share #16315 Posted October 30, 2021 Not having an Orthodox Archbishop up my sleeves, let alone any other sort, I'll have to revert to the mundane subject of cars. NigelG Posted October 30, 2021 Share #16319 Posted October 30, 2021 (edited) I think the GS had a deeper panel below the glass (they needed room for the laughable spoiler on the only-vaguely-warmed-over variants.) My father bought an early basic one as a stopgap and I remember at the dealers it was only offered in red, white or blue 🇫🇷. My father was intrigued by the bolt together panel system that allowed easy bodywork repairs, the hydropneumatic suspension and the fact that it still came with a starting handle! I remember enjoying watching it “settle” like a sleeping dog when we got home (which my current S8 and previous A8s did too) Edited October 30, 2021 by NigelG
