Advertisement Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Hi Penzes, Take a look here I love my M2. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
IkarusJohn Posted April 27, 2012 Share #322 Posted April 27, 2012 How István manages to take such beautiful pictures is a mystery to me. Makes me feel I should just give up now and sell all my gear ...
lincoln_m Posted May 1, 2012 Share #323 Posted May 1, 2012 If you sold your kit then Istvan would buy it, clean it up, photograph it and you'd want to buy it all back again at any price. I think the answer is to assume that happened but you didn't have to spend any money or imagine how much you just saved not buying it back again so you can now buy film and processing for the next year. Out of the 20+ films you must get some good shots even if it is only 1 per film that's 20 master pieces which if printed large would mean you need a bigger house. So then you sell your kit to get the bigger house and Istvan buys your kit, cleans ..... you know the rest. I think he has more pics on flickr. Enjoy your free film and shoot more with your M2. All the best, Lincoln
menos I M6 Posted May 11, 2012 Share #324 Posted May 11, 2012 The black paint body just arrived in the mail - only camera around, to take a picture of it was a black paint MP with 35 Lux pre ASPH and a M9 with 5cm Summitar. I decided, the BP M2 is more beautiful than the MP, robbed the lens and shot the new one with the 5cm Summitar - no way, I do a first shot of it with an iPhone! gyoung Posted May 12, 2012 Share #329 Posted May 12, 2012 Great! And I've decided to use my M2 Monocrom tomorrow And it only cost me £600 not £6000 And you make your prints in a darkroom, its always been magical to see the image appear on the paper in the developer dish. Whats more you can, should you wish, do colour with it without spending ANOTHER £6K. Gerry
UliWer Posted May 18, 2012 Share #330 Posted May 18, 2012 My M2 came back from Solms on 11. May. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! All times sound good, and the tickling with 1/8 sec. or longer is as it should be. Never seen such a clear rangefinder - and I still don't understand what they told me about a minor fault which couldn't be repaired. The price for the short cure in solms was about the same I originally paid for the camera second hand - together with a non apo. asph. 2/50 Summicron from the same time. Though I think a 35mm lens fits the M2 better.
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Stealth3kpl Posted July 24, 2012 Share #332 Posted July 24, 2012 and I still don't understand what they told me about a minor fault which couldn't be repaired. There was something lost in translation. They meant they couldn't improve on it Pete
SJP Posted July 27, 2012 Share #333 Posted July 27, 2012 Yep, that is a convincing explanation. The M2 is the nicest of the pile IMHO even if it has minor imperfections (like not digital, no light meter etc.). It is what it is, the MP is very desirable but somehow the M2 is what it is all about. Total functional simplicity.
Chrism.. Posted August 29, 2012 Share #334 Posted August 29, 2012 Here once again my loved M2, fresh CLA, works perfect especially with Summicron 90. Keep film alive ! Regards, Chris

SiMPLiFY Posted September 5, 2012 Share #339 Posted September 5, 2012 These images are simply beautiful! I have enjoyed viewing all of them. I hope you'll humor my silly bone today: My answer to Leica Hermés M9-P Meet Apheleia (Ἀφέλεια), the spirit and personification of ease, simplicity and primitivity. This set offers 3 lenses and includes: Leica M2 35mm f/2.8 Summaron, 50mm f/2.0 Summicron, 90mm f/4 rigid Elmar all in a beautifully distressed chrome finish. This goes well with the distressed chrome body of the exquisite Leica M2. They all feature the quality build that Leica is known for and we all know that you just can’t beat that German Glass! also included: a black braided leather camera strap that stretches when you need it to and a pillow to lay your head on at night. ) not included: a 2 volume portfolio of Black and White images, you’ll have to make your own. With this camera creating a 190 page book of Black and White Photographs that are yours will be a lot of fun! You'll need lots of film to feed this baby. The complete set costs roughly $1,500 though prices may vary depending on the market. Please visit your favorite after market dealer at a camera store near you. Apheleia the ultimate in quality and simplicity. Welcome, dear visitor! M9reno Posted September 5, 2012 Share #340 Posted September 5, 2012 Kathleeen, many congratulations. It seems you have also achieved Autarkeia, or self-sufficiency, with this set. What need for more?
