White-backed Vultures (Gyps africanus) Zuka Game Reserve S Africa- highly endangered, there's been an overall decline in all Vulture populations of approx. 75% over the past 40 years, mainly due to poisoning.

SL3 & Sigma DG DN 500mm f5.6  -the Canon 400mm f4 DOII is now sold. I'm astounded at how light the Sigma is & its IQ appears to be equal to the Canon.  I still need to play around some more.....

This looks great, well done.  At some point when you are done playing I would love to know your thoughts on the lens.

Blessed in the Lifetime - The image is severely cropped, 21 Super Elmar M. I am going through the process of understanding the SL3 images. One thing I found in post which is different to the previous models is that it doesn't like sharpening at the end, in Camera Raw. The sharpening slider with cropped images seems to have the opposite effect by increasing grain size.

Hi Ken, sounds like you are sharpening the whole image. Have you tried adjusting up the sharpening mask in camera raw?

Hi Ken, I like this image and I have often wondered how people smooth and clean their images to get this sort of illustrative look. Are you using the dust and scratches filter in PS or the median? How do you achieve it?

Hi Jim, I’m sure there are a few techniques and I did try the dust and scratches thing. It’s a complicated few steps to arrive at and different for every image.

My idea is to reduce the details and textures in some surfaces and then bring back sharpness in selected areas. It’s three step process in PS and to reduce shadows and increase brightness. Been working on it for a while and using various forums to test it out. Once I was asked what lens (Leica) was I using.

PS I’m having to reinvent the process with SL3. It works seamlessly with SL2s.

I generally stay away from pre sharpening Jim unless I use the Denoise thing occasionally. I’m adapting to this new sensor and sorting out the best way. Almost got it and yes sometimes using the mask and now topaz in some situations. Upscsling SL3 file to 12000 pixels wide full frame is awesome when printing huge

best K

An old John Deere Tractor.  SL3 + Voigtlander 50mm f1.0 (at 1.4).  Vignetting?  Yes. I didn't correct and I think it adds to the shot.

just to let you know:

You don´t have to hide taking SPORTS with Leica, especially with the SL3 (although the Panasonic AF S5-II is better...), but who cares...

Dennis Lynch (Ireland) won the Rising Star by Mercedes Benz CSI5* internat. Riding Competition ...

Amazing image quality Dr G - One would need to check ones face before standing in front of a SL3 and SL APO lens

It’s true.  I’m heading to a wedding now in Cabo and I decided to take the Summilux-50 for that very reason.  Now I’m carrying a crazy travel kit - SL3, APO Summicron-SL 21, 35, 50, 75 and Summilux-SL.
