Advertisement Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Hi sixteen pads, Take a look here I Love My M6!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
erniethemilk Posted December 22, 2019 Share #1302 Posted December 22, 2019 Oh hell yeah prices have gone way up - especially here in the UK! My M6 cost possibly £400 more than it would have 12 months ago and it’s an early Leitz M6! Still it’s an absolute beaut and already much treasured. I like the idea of a second body, just not sure whether to go metered or unmetered body.

I am the most involved and observing then. So as your second body I would recommend a lovely M4. Or m4-2 or m4_p. Either one is amazing. You obviously need it

I keep looking at MP’s but I’m really not ready for one of those. Maybe in time I’d look at an M-A if I can’t find a good M4. I think with lots of practice over the next few months I’d be more comfortable with a meter less body... maybe just take the batteries out of the M6 🤣
ariel91 Posted January 15, 2020 Share #1306 Posted January 15, 2020 Hi guys! New to this forum & got my first Leica M6 & Summicron 35 f2 not too long ago. I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about the model I have since it does have the red Leitz logo. I did do some research on the serial number but wanted to get your expertise. Serial number is: 1667334 Also, if I can get more info on the lens as well. Thank you ! Welcome, dear visitor! oudjunk Posted January 22, 2020 Share #1309 Posted January 22, 2020 I have some question that i wanna know. normally, you guys scan the picture from Negative film or print first and scan later. I went to the flim lab and let them develop and scan negative film for me. i feel like my picture is not sharp as others (when compare to other picture on the internet). david strachan Posted January 22, 2020 Share #1310 Posted January 22, 2020 Maybe try a print from your scanned negs, if you have a reasonable digi printer. Then might try wet printing if you have a dark room. Comparison will tell a lot of information, and ways to move forward. All best...

I recently sold one just like that with the black dot. I was told by a chap from LCE Bristol (their Leica guy) that the black dot was actually quite rare on M Cameras. I ordered my black dot from DAG just before he was asked by Leica to stop selling them. Lucky me!
