Just received that beauty from Customer Service. Had to get rid of that ugly leather which it was shipped with 🙈

Okay so I decided to add an M6 to my Leica M stable. That stable contains an M4-P and M7. I purchased it from Houston Camera. The ad showed it was just CLA'd by Leica, they even included the paperwork in one photo. So that should be good for another 25 years plus. It saves me from having to send it to DAG for checkup and service.

Congrats! I am using the similar combo M3, M6, and M7 in parallel. Keep in mind when shooting with both the M6 and the M7, that the non-TTL M6 rotates the shutter dial in the opposite direction than the M7 does. Still confuses the heck out of me ;). I know the reason why the change was made in the M6 TTL (which is the same direction as in the M7) to accommodate for the rotation of the aperture ring in Leica M lenses. Well, I never felt that this is important but others might differ.

I love my M6 Classic with the .85 finder. Yesterday, I replaced the battery for its meter. It will last me for at least one year. I have on it the Voigtlaender 50/1.5 Nokton (for the Prominent), and it is loaded with EFKE 100 B&W film. I also love my M3. It has on it a Hologon 16/8. Both cameras peacefully co-exist in my camera bag.

Can’t believe this thread is languishing on page 3 😂

Popped a roll of film in the M6 yesterday, been a while since I last shot a roll, forgotten just how enjoyable the experience is!

C’mon M6 fans - show us your cameras 😎

Here's my M6 0.85 Classic (not M6 TTL!) - also known as M6HM (High Magnification). 3130 of these cameras were ever made. This camera was in a batch of 2000 cameras that they started manufacturing on 17 October, 1997.

My pair of M6 classics.  The black one is from the third batch, serialized on May 8, 1985.  I love them both.
