epand56 Posted December 24, 2020 Share #1 Posted December 24, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Please anybody knows if the M 240 has the lens detection for the Summilux 21mm f:1.4 Asph.? I can't find it in the list of lenses in the Lens Detection menu. I have the firmware 2.0.6.0 Is there a new upgrade i didn't see? Find this quite strange. Thank you for any help. Advertisement Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 Hi epand56, Take a look here Summilux 21mm f:1.4 Asph. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
FrozenInTime Posted December 24, 2020 Share #2 Posted December 24, 2020 Can you set detection to Automatic
wda Posted December 24, 2020 Share #3 Posted December 24, 2020 Surely your lens is 6-bit coded? If so, why do you need to look up the lens?
NigelG Posted December 24, 2020 Share #4 Posted December 24, 2020 As far as I can recall, the lenses listed are only those that could have been supplied pre 6-bit coding being introduced ie where auto detection won’t work. All Summilux 21s are coded so they don’t need to be listed....
Simone_DF Posted December 24, 2020 Share #5 Posted December 24, 2020 The OP has a Voigtlander 21mm 1.4, not the Summilux, that's why he's looking for the lens in the detection menu. @epand your best bet is to code the lens yourself, that's what I did with the Ultron

I 6bit coded my CV 21/1.4 as a Summilux 21, but maybe I did something wrong because when switching on the LV, camera told be no lens was attached. Thank you all for your answers. I will try again. Wish you all a merry Christmas and a hopefully better new year (shouldn't be so difficult).

Arnaud, thank you for your hint. I managed to code my Nokton 21/1.4 as Summilux 21/1.4 and now it perfectli works and is correctly detected by camera. I was just doing it the wrong way.
