Very nice Helge. It looks like your snow's finally arrived. Out of curiosity is it above or below normal levels?

I picked up my SL2-S yesterday. This is my first keeper, shot with a 50mm Summicron DR in close focus mode.  Not too bad for a 60 year old lens!

Thanks for looking.

Thanks. Yes, we got some snow finally, but after the weekend the snow has turned into sleet and water. Unfortunately. 0.5 m snow is common, occationally 1 to 1.5 m, but the recent winters have been mild with sleet and rain rather than snow. The house is at 300 m; but a glacier nearby (at an elevation of 1000-1400 m) may get 10-15 m snow, so gradients are large...

My first day with the SL2-S and I'm blown away by the image quality.  Below is a 100% crop shot with a 60 year old 50mm Summicron DR straight out of Capture One 22, no adjustments from standard profile.  I''m feeling' pretty good abut this purchase: can't wait for the S adapter to try out the TS-APO-ELMAR-S.

The Leica Store gives a very nice paper shopping bag to carry your new camera home. Even a red ribbon to tie it closed.

Photographing rehearsals of Psappha, a contemporary music group at Kettle's Yard, a local performance space. Psappha have explored the boundary of experimental music, and have strayed quite a bit over it.
SL2-S + 24-90SL. The space is irregular and they occupied as much of it as they could, making it tricky to find angles with a clean background. The best I could do for lighting was fire strobes at the walls at full power and hope for enough bounced light, and not to catch a strobe in a shot. The pots were filled with water and used in performance.
The Guardian wanted a shot for their review, and chose the third one. (My first national publication - it won't change me).
