I'm fine waiting until they become available from stock in 3 or 4 months. I still have serious thinking to do about the weight of the camera (compared to my CL and Q). I wish they had one with a shoulder strap to walk around with, instead of just holding it. I suppose I ought to rent an SL for a week to get a sense of the heft. I had to purchase the 50mm bundle (due to tariffs, I was told) but as this is my first foray into the Leica ecosystem (and how hard these appear to come by), I didn’t mind. I traded in my 1DX Mark II and 3 lenses to ease the sticker shock, but so far I’m loving it more than carrying that Canon weight around my shoulders! Bill, I've been playing with the 75mm a little. It's right-sized for the SL2, IMHO. Focus is very fast. I've been sucked into the Christmas preparation vortex and won't have much time to enjoy either lens until things quiet down. I'd love to try the APO 50mm but it's made of unobtanium. The price for the SL2+35mm was quoted to me as $10,590. I didn't ask for the SL2+50 price. I assume it would $100 less based on pre-tariff prices, but thats just a guess. Either demand is not so high, or Leica has improved their preparations for the start of sale. Leica is turning into a model manufacturer. They implemented most of the items that were on the forum wish list. And now deliveries seem to be rolling smoothly.... 🤓👍👍👍 Let’s see how the firmware updates will be ... In some other cases, they were among the fastest to get Leica new releases in stock. Not this time. Apparently nothing yet, although there is a drop promised in December. I have been looking on leicacamera.us over the past week, and the SL2 is listed consistently as back-ordered. You found it available on Monday, or had you signed up for notifications beforehand?
