4pipes Posted January 22, 2018 Share #342 Posted January 22, 2018 Because those modes are only available in LV.
Abram Posted January 25, 2018 Share #343 Posted January 25, 2018 I would love to be able to disable "unwanted" frame lines. Since they are LEDs I don't see why this wouldn't be possible. Namely I'd like to get rid of 75 and 135 frames.
jdlaing Posted January 25, 2018 Share #344 Posted January 25, 2018 I would love to be able to disable "unwanted" frame lines. Since they are LEDs I don't see why this wouldn't be possible. Namely I'd like to get rid of 75 and 135 frames. They are not electronic frame lines. They are mechanical masks and are only lit by led light instead of natural light through a window. At present you cannot disable frame lines.

Didn't realize they still had the mask! In that case, since it is possible for one to get film Ms modified to mask various frame lines out would it theoretically be possible then on the M10? adan Posted January 25, 2018 Share #346 Posted January 25, 2018 Should be - for a price. And semi-permanently (camera would have to go back to Leica again to have them restored - at least if you ever wanted to sell your M10 in the future to me, since I use 75 and 135 lenses extensively ). Inquire at Leica USA (Allendale, NJ). Definitely a hardware change, not software. http://us.leica-camera.com/Contact?country=18135&category%5B%5D=Photography
paulsydaus Posted January 27, 2018 Share #347 Posted January 27, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) It appears the first posting which was meant to be maintained as a summary is no longer being maintained? It would also be great if there is some way for users to vote on these issues to get an indication of prioritisation for Leica? cafecacao Posted February 14, 2018 Share #348 Posted February 14, 2018 I just received my M10. I don't understand abt setting auto ISO. I set auto Iso 6400, min-speed 1/125 but sometimes I shot the photo at 1/180 iso 2000, why camera doesn't reduce speed to Min 1/125 and iso also. Have anyone tell me. tks
willemr Posted February 14, 2018 Share #349 Posted February 14, 2018 Perhaps the setting where the minimal shutterspeed is 1/(2*mm) or 1/(4*mm)? E.g. a 35mm lens could have a minimal shutter of 1/140 which would become a 1/180.

Refer 2 pics below, why camera set iso 800 speed 1/180 and why not set 500& 1/125 Welcome, dear visitor! willemr Posted February 14, 2018 Share #351 Posted February 14, 2018 Perhaps the camera thought it would result in a better photo. Kind of artificial intelligence of the M10.
paulsydaus Posted February 21, 2018 Share #352 Posted February 21, 2018 I think the bulb options screen accessed by holding the focus assist button should be added to the main menu to make it easier for people to find. M11 for me Posted February 21, 2018 Share #353 Posted February 21, 2018 No, I set auto iso at 6400 & speed Min 1/125. Refer 2 pics below, why camera set iso 800 speed 1/180 and why not set 500& 1/125 Could it be that 1/125s resp 1/180s is just within tolerance given that this represents less than half a LV (light value). PCPix Posted February 21, 2018 Share #354 Posted February 21, 2018 (edited) Ah. Well shucks I had no idea. Didn't realize they still had the mask! In that case, since it is possible for one to get film Ms modified to mask various frame lines out would it theoretically be possible then on the M10? With lens coding now, it really is about time Leica worked out a system that only shows the frameline for the lens in use... I've always felt that the double sets of framelines are clutter - completely at odds with the simplicity of the M in general - there's no other clutter in the design, operation or menus of the M10. Portra400 Posted February 24, 2018 Share #355 Posted February 24, 2018 On several M10s manufactured in January 2018, there is a glitch in Playback mode that affects how exposure compensation settings are reported; no matter the amount of compensation set for any image, either in regular Rangefinder capture or in Live View, it gets reported in Playback as negative 3. On the other hand, the same images have any set amount of compensation correctly reported by Lightroom once they've been imported there from the camera. So, it seems the exposure compensation function works, but it's report in Playback doesn't. Anybody have any ideas what's going on here?
mdemeyer Posted February 25, 2018 Share #356 Posted February 25, 2018 This is not unique to Jan 2018 cameras. Been around for a long time and probably a firmware bug (my guess). paulsydaus Posted March 8, 2018 Share #357 Posted March 8, 2018 Not sure if this has been mentioned, but would be useful to see the return of an RGB histogram on the M10, to ensure no individual channels are clipped. Don’t know what’s happening with this thread, an M10 F/W update is long overdue if you ask me...? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

James_183 Posted April 3, 2018 Share #359 Posted April 3, 2018 Improvement of manual focus with EVF Why M10 can't directly shift magnified view when using 5x /10x manifications just like Leica SL do ? M10 needs to shift the crosshair to the conner of magnified view first,it is inconvenience....
horosu Posted April 15, 2018 Share #360 Posted April 15, 2018 I'd appreciate to be able to select the "Summilux 35 pre-asph (11860/11870)" from the manual lens selection menu. It was present in the M240 and apparently in the recent CL menu.
