Waiting for supper following a superbly played recital, Jim Kline is an outstanding guitarist and someone I am happy to call an old friend.

Okay Louis, I opened the thread and saw your first one above, and almost suggested the thread morph toward "bearded old guy" portraits. Then I scrolled and the site of this lady put that to rest fast! Well done, she's a beauty, and the graphics and rock texture highlight her skin  :)

Was at an anime convention today.

Some guy was taking photographs of cosplayers without their consent.

He was asked to stop, refused, and kept doing it.

Apparently almost got into a fight with one girl's boyfriend.

This guy had two Leica M-series cameras on shoulder straps.

I hope it wasn't anybody from this forum.

If you go to an anime convention, you should ask cosplayers if you can take their photo.

Most people are happy to pose for you.

Don't act like a jerk like this guy.

+1. It can’t be Bud. He shipped one of his two M10s to the NJ service center on Friday for an M10-P conversion. 😀

Quite diferent of true "portraiting" : when in ex-Belgian Congo, then Zaïre and now Democratic Republic of Congo, I asked various people to "pose" for a photo. I used an M3 with Summicron 50 and a BW film, only recently re-discovered and digitalized. Here are the results : my favorite is the first one, because the most "natural", then the two of the family. The mariage of the officer is classical, and the last image is something "historical" : it illustrates the "emperor" ("mulopwe") of the Free State of Sud-Kasaï, a short-lived (two years) artificial creation of the MIBA (Bakwanga Mining, diamond extracting company) after Congo independance. His name was Albert Kalonji.
