I believe that the most beautiful coasts of our planet are located by the Aegean Sea. Today I have been able to take a glance at Samos, the Greek island, from Guzelcamli, Turkey. The scene must be reflected on Cinestill 50D. Edited May 31, 2018 by rob139

harmen Posted June 2, 2018 Share #582 Posted June 2, 2018 Only issue I have ever had with my camera is a jammed shutter problem while taking photos at the Shard. Because of that repair in Wetzlar, the frame counter seems like a bit aligned. Or I am so fussy that I have zero tolerance. May someone speak up whether the frame counter must be aligned well or not?I’ve only ever seen the frame counters have a little space. Here is the one of my M-A Welcome, dear visitor! odeon Posted June 3, 2018 Share #583 Posted June 3, 2018 (edited) I’ve only ever seen the frame counters have a little space. Here is the one of my M-A 2F03D1C3-DC84-4FA6-A3D2-0361F2E1C051.jpeg Hence, the frame counter of my camera cannot have been aligned. It indicates -40% of a frame less than actually it has been. Furthermore, none of yours seems like mine. Edited June 3, 2018 by odeon

Furthermore, none of yours seems like mine. Famous Leica mechanical precision suffered, here. In my M's long Leica life, I've uncountered those "flaws" with many of my Ms. While send for CLA, some can be cured, and other can not (the tech said "adjustment can be done but this can be used as is for more reliability in the frame counter" ). Myth or reality, I don't know.

Popular Post ekindangen Posted July 5, 2018 Popular Post Share #592 Posted July 5, 2018 Hi all, Just dropping by to share a photo I took during my trip to Italy. The photo was taken in Venice, not sure where in Venice as I just wandered off. I used 35 cron pre-asph v4 and Kodak Portra 400 with sunny 16 metering mode :-) This reconfirms my feeling toward the M-A as my go to camera when I travel. No meter, no battery, no lag. Just wind and shoot. A real basic photographer camera that lets us focus on the subject (or in this case, expression of love). Cheers and enjoy your M-A. Erwin Welcome, dear visitor! Abram Posted July 24, 2018 Share #593 Posted July 24, 2018 I saw an M-A for sale over on Fredmiranda.com. Claimed to have been purchased a week ago new. Serial number is 4914401 still which as far as I understand is still the only serial block for these things right? Mine was bought in early 2015 and also falls in that range (Mine's 096). Abram Posted August 6, 2018 Share #594 Posted August 6, 2018 Either way. I love my M-A. For me personally it's the perfect M body for film (after having tried my fair share at this point!)
brill64 Posted August 12, 2018 Share #595 Posted August 12, 2018 My suspicion is that the MP and M7 may be dropped once Leica deplete stocks of the electronic parts in those cameras. We know the current fate of the M7 but I enquired about a new MP recently at the Leica Store Hong Kong & was told that it is now only available on special order as a-la-carte
jamiealquiza Posted August 14, 2018 Share #596 Posted August 14, 2018 (edited) Love that there is an M-A love thread. There's something special about this model, that beyond old cameras continuing to circulate, that people are still willing to buy new meterless film cameras. Welcome, dear visitor! enboe Posted September 23, 2018 Share #600 Posted September 23, 2018 IMG_5185.jpg I'm questioning the black-out treatment on the 50 APO. Not sure the shutter speed dial, "R" lever, "R" and arrow on the rewind knob, silver strap lugs, shutter button, lens release, and frame counter should all be blacked out too, or maybe just paint in the range and f/stop scales on the lens in Leica M-A red. Thanks for sharing. Eric
