Bill W Posted October 12, 2014 Author Share #10 Posted October 12, 2014 UPDATE! If anyone is interested, the dealer emailed me and said the buyer decided to send the lens back as they wanted a silver Noctilux. If interested, let me know with a PM. algrove Posted October 13, 2014 Share #11 Posted October 13, 2014 Sure sign of a hobbyist, not a photographer.
Bill W Posted October 13, 2014 Author Share #12 Posted October 13, 2014 Sure sign of a hobbyist, not a photographer. I actually know the guy that bought and returned the lens. He already has one Noctilux which is an f1 variety. I know because I sold it to him a few years ago. When he went for the M240 he bought a silver I believe and now wants a silver Noctilux. I know he really likes his current Noctilux.
Jeff S Posted October 14, 2014 Share #13 Posted October 14, 2014 Sure sign of a hobbyist, not a photographer. If he owned 3 of each, would that make him a photographer? Only you might know. Jeff
LeicaPassion Posted October 14, 2014 Share #14 Posted October 14, 2014 I hope that the dealer will discount the price. The lens was sold, most likely used, and returned.
algrove Posted October 14, 2014 Share #15 Posted October 14, 2014 If he owned 3 of each, would that make him a photographer? Only you might know. Jeff I don't own 3 of them.
Jeff S Posted October 14, 2014 Share #16 Posted October 14, 2014 I don't own 3 of them. Oh, then you must be a photographer. Jeff
NB23 Posted October 14, 2014 Share #17 Posted October 14, 2014 Sure sign of a hobbyist, not a photographer. Are pros hanging around here? I have my little doubts. Leica is a hobbyist's marque now, anyways. I tried to include my M8 and M9 in my Pro camera rotation work and all it did was bring the whole thing dowwwwn. Jeff S Posted October 14, 2014 Share #18 Posted October 14, 2014 I don't own 3 of them. But you did buy three. Hard to keep up with your 22+ new lens purchases…plus lots of cameras. Really doesn't matter to me; to each his own, but he who lives in glass houses…. Jeff
Steve Ash Posted October 14, 2014 Share #19 Posted October 14, 2014 Are pros hanging around here? I have my little doubts. Leica is a hobbyist's marque now, anyways. When I look at a photo I do not mind whether it was shot by a pro or not. Do you do? Regards Steve
