What happened to the pillars with two speakers on each side (which often did not work) ? This photo though, and the earlier one, is a happy reminder of times past.

While on the theme, I love the way photo's are often a prompt to memory and enjoyed yours.

Thanks Charles, and good catch - I’d forgotten the speaker pillars were gone. In a concession to the times they had a radio station that you tuned into to get the sound. A pity, as I liked the bulky, clumsy speaker things hanging from the side window, even if they didn’t work, but that was probably a hangover from the days you didn’t go to the drive-in to actually watch (or listen to) the movie (if you get my drift).

And completely agree about the “place” Wayne’s photos take us - a place of the mind, of the memory.

The vibrancy from the blossoms draws me in, then my lazy eye drifts to the clouds and there is a happy contention for attention. Love the battle and happy to linger.

One more from the quarantine station, which I visited on one of my first "getting to know you" rides on my recently acquired motorcycle - the camera fits nicely in the pannier bag:

Canon F1N, FDn 50mm f1.4, Agfa Vista 400

Here is an old one, to bring forward. When I first viewed this, 2018, I thought:..."Wow! What hard times."
