Not the new User Forum, I know, I'm here.

 

I've seen a couple of references now to a new Leica corporate web-site, maybe just a make-over which, if true, should surely launch before Photokina.

 

Anyone heard anything specific about it?

It would be logical for Leica to revamp their website since it has remained somewhat static for the last few years and in view of the closure of the old forum. Now would be a good time to do it.

Looking forward to seeing that Andreas!

Actually I quite liked the look and feel of the first Leica website (launched about at the time of the R8). It was very clean and easy to use. Much more than the current website, which is literaly wasting screen real estate on a big screen because it is always being displayed in its smallish way. I also find the current website rather difficult to wade through.

So, let's hope that the revamping of the website will address these issues!

I think we'll all see "selective leaks" in August with much news coming in September.

 

I would think Leica will have a site dedicated to the M8 around the time of Photokina.

By the way Andreas, why are these designations in German?

 

Not that they really matter.... in fact I would prefer that they were done away with.
