Jemand eine Idee wer so was anbietet? LG Tamo
  2. Hi Guys, I've been using my M6 TTL without an issue for sometime and then I left it dormant for around a year when I left the country... Now the meter wont work , the M6 would work fine and still take pictures if exposed correctly with an external light meter, but the mechanism now would not turn on. I'm based in NYC and have sent it to the Leica repair and they sent it back saying that they can't fix it because they "no longer have the parts", I contact Sherry Krauter and she said that she gets her parts from Leica, so if they don't have it, she won't either. So really now I'm just asking for help! Thanks! H
  3. Hey , is there any other flash we can use when the camera is in Auto iso and you want/need to flash? any flash from metz , Nissan thanxs peter
  4. Hello, I'm trying to get my M11 and 24D to get along. I'm using a Nikon SC-17 cable, and while the flash will fire in TTL mode, I cannot seem to get a proper exposure so it seems to me that TTL is simply not working. I checked the batteries and they have plenty of power in them. I've told the flash what aperture setting I'm using, and set the ISO on the camera to 800. The shutter speed is set to the flash sync setting (lightning bolt). It simply does not appear to be working as a TTL flash. I'd appreciate any advice. I'm open to the possibility of needing to buy a more modern TTL flash but am hoping that won't be necessary. Thanks!
  5. Quantum T5D-R, Adapter D23w-r, Lecia M9 all seem to be talking. OK it seems the D23w-r adapter for the canon mounts on my Leica M9 and fire the QFlash remotely with no problem when I hook up the freewire receiver and transmitters. SO why not try TTL mode on the strobe head SO it works...(I am not through with my testing because the Turbo battery is charging now) I have to do a few more shots but I am amazed that it communicates with the camera to some extent!
  6. This might be a stupid question and many have been answered in some form before. I have an M6 TTL 0.72 and a Summicron 35 f2 ASPH, both in Chrome. First off, I love film and shooting, but other things have over the past few years have taken more of my time. I typically only pull out the M6 during extended vacations/travel, which seems to be once every 2 years. For everyday photos, we pull out the cheap-o digital point and shoot. Film is great, but scanning is a hassle (used to be fun). Also film is getting harder to find locally. I feel like the anyone with a good point and shoot can take decent photos these days and shooting film has really lost it's uniqueness (at least for me). I'd love to get a M9, but I have no budget for it. I'm a bit out of the loop and just noticed the Fuji X-Pro 1. I was thinking about getting rid of the M6 body and picking up the X-Pro 1. So, I guess my question is, is it worth it to keep the body, or get rid of both the body and lens and just go with the X-Pro 1. Will the Summicron be that much better than the lens that comes with the X-Pro 1? I have a number of people interested in the M6 and lens. Should I sell now while I can or hang on to it in case I ever get psyched about film again? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
  7. I am trying to use the Metz 54mz4 with the adapter 3502. The manuel says it will work with, M8, M9 etc. Nothing about the S2 First question is this compatible, if so what features will I lose out, TTL, HSS---? May be it is NOT compatible and I have to buy the SF58. Any and all suggestions welcome. Leicad.
  9. Hello! I had previously posted some questions about using the Leica SF20 flash with my M6 TTL. I've shot through a few rolls since first getting it and quite liked the results (and experimenting a bit!) However, on my latest roll when trying to use the flash I can't seem to get the flash unit to fire in any mode while on camera. I... - Turned off the body - Attached the flash to the hot-shoe - Turned on the body to flash sync speed (or slower) - Turned on the SF20 to "TTL" mode, and tap the soft shutter on the M6 and the LCD reads out "400 iso" When trying to take a photo and looking through the viewfinder I see the flash symbol (it's solid) on the right hand side, and when taking a photo it never flashes/blinks/etc. From the M6 manual I assume _something_ should occur with the indicator, and the flash should fire. I've checked the hot-shoe contacts and it all seems fine. I haven't tried swapping out M6 batteries yet, or flash batteries because it fires on tests just fine, and my meter workout without issue. Is there anything else I should check or try out? I was able to test the SF20 on a friend's Fujifilm and it fired without issue in "auto" mode. I tried manual/auto and it didn't do anything either. Very odd!
  10. I've recently purchased an SF20 flash to use with my M6 TTL. I'm trying to make sure I am understanding how to use the TTL setting for the flash properly. After checking the manual it's been pretty unclear, so I have a few questions. 1. As for usage is it as simple as setting the camera+flash to TTL, setting the ISO on the camera, and changing the exposure to your liking? My assumption is the flash will output enough to properly expose for any scene, so just ignore the in camera meter? 2. Setting any settings (aperture/etc) on the flash while in TTL mode only shows you the distance output on the back of the flash, but does it alter the functionality of the flash power output or is it just for reference if you so choose? 3. What other things are worth noting when using flash in TTL mode (or I suppose manual?) It seems that in TTL mode it's mostly just hands off and pretty simple, but I feel like I'm missing something in the process.
