The recent issue of LFI has an article on Leica flashes. It talks about the Leica SF C1 commander being compatible with Nissin's i60a flashes. Has anyone personally tried it? Does TTL and HSS work with M10? Thanks

I am wondering if anyone has experience with the Nissin i60 flash, and its compatibility with the M10 or M246? I don't care about TTL as I never use it, and I have the i40, but I would like a tad more power sometimes. Seems like it would be identical to the i40...but please let me know if you have used, or heard anything. Cheers! Ben

Hi guys, many of us are in need of a small flash for our Leica. Best with decent output and fully tiltable. You might know the Nissin i40, a very decent flash that is a very good fit for our cameras. No wait, that is not true: It does not fit! The i40 has a push-lock (not a thumbwheel) that secures the flash in the hotshoe. But it does not fit, so it locks not into place. It fires but it can easily fall off, both at the M240 and the M9. When you file down the front end of the hotshoe of the flash about 1-2 mm it fits perfectly and locks into place. You might have already know that but I though I share it in case you did´t. There is also the new i60, which has more power, but I did not try that one, yet. Happy shooting, Heiko
