Advertisement Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 Hi jjh, Take a look here Is Leica's 3 year guarantee worldwide?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
leicapages Posted July 3, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 3, 2006 If it is the Leica international warrantee, then it should be valid worldwide, regardlesse of where you bought the item (as it should be). Depending on the item, it varies in length (5 years for R8, 2 years for R9 and M7, 30 years for binoculars etc). However, if you buy a Leica item with a US-only warrantee, you are stuck with US service only I suspect. JHAG Posted July 3, 2006 Share #3 Posted July 3, 2006 I had the same question myself, having bought both my M7 and Summilux 50 in the USA. I called Solms — customer service. A very polite gentleman told me if I had to service my equipment to send it directly to Solms — under worldwide warranty.
