LUF Admin Posted July 7, 2023 Share #1 Posted July 7, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am currently preparing a survey on the subject of RAW converters. With similar surveys it happened again and again that during the running survey still other programs appeared. So that this doesn't happen again, this time the question in advance to you: Do the RAW converters you use appear in the following list? If not, please comment and link! Thanks for your help! Anbaric Posted July 7, 2023 Share #7 Posted July 7, 2023 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) 2 hours ago, LUF Admin said: RAW converters offered by camera manufacturers: Sony Image Data Converter OM Workspace Canon DPP Sigma Photo Pro Fujifilm X RAW Studio Nikon NX Studio Fujifilm Raw File Converter is Fuji's freestanding package (based on Silkpix): https://fujifilm-x.com/en-gb/support/download/software/raw-file-converter-ex-powered-by-silkypix/ The package mentioned above, X Raw Studio, is a special case, a package that can only be used when the camera is tethered, and uses the camera's built-in raw converter. Capture One Express is a free cut-down version of Capture One that arguably deserves its own entry. It comes in 3 manufacturer-specific versions for Fujifilm, Sony, and Nikon: https://www.captureone.com/en/capture-one-express The Nikon download does not seem to be linked from the main page for some reason. Here it is: https://www.captureone.com/en/account/download/capture-one-express-for-nikon Hasselblad Phocus: https://www.hasselblad.com/phocus/ On the Mac, Phocus does not just process Hasselblad raw files, but all the common raw formats that macOS supports. This doesn't work on Windows, which doesn't have the same OS-level raw support. Edited July 7, 2023 by Anbaric

fotografr Posted July 7, 2023 Share #10 Posted July 7, 2023 I use Adobe Bridge to open images in Adobe Camera Raw where I do most of my editing. I then do final editing in Adobe Photoshop.

Kiwimac Posted July 8, 2023 Share #16 Posted July 8, 2023 Yes. I only use Lightroom because I want my catalogue and my development in one place. Life is too short to waste using two separate programs!
jaapv Posted July 8, 2023 Share #17 Posted July 8, 2023 It depends. I don’t like using the full workflow on my MacBook Air. I use Luminar there when away from home.

MindsEye Posted July 9, 2023 Share #20 Posted July 9, 2023 (edited) FastRawViewer I only use FastRaw Viewer sometimes- when I want to scrutinize raw files. My go-to processors are LR for database, ON1 for processing and Topaz for noise reduction. I also really like DXO PureRaw but need more time on it. Otherwise list looks pretty good 😀 Edited July 9, 2023 by MindsEye additional comments
