w/o a doubt, the 35 Summicron Asph I (11879). It's my quintessence of an M lens. Perfect size, weight, and balance on camera, fast and smooth focus tab, and the IQ I need and want. In a few words, it's the one that makes me want to use my M10 more.

It has changed through the years. In the beginning it was the 50mm Summilux ASPH. Later it was the Noctilux f/1 and then the 50mm Summilux pre-ASPH. Today my most used lens is the 35mm Summilux pre-ASPH.

35 FLE for automotive/general stuff and 21 SEM for landscape.  I used a 50-R Summicron Ver. I last week (on M10-R) for some automotive and really liked the images.  Sharp with softer colors.  Might have to use that one a little more often.

Most used? 75mm focal length, either as APO-Summicron-M ASPH or Voigtlander Nokton f/1.5.

They are just so darned versatile. Can switch-hit for either a 50 or a 90 (and frankly, most of the time with better IQ); best close-up ability in the M system outside the 90 Macro - and 2 stops faster; great studio focal length, and wide-open, a great stage focal length in dim venues. They are outstanding for copying 2D/3D artwork, and even documents (faster than I can switch my flatbed scanner from "transparency/film" to "opaque/paper" mode). ;)

Doesn't mean I don't use other focal lengths extensively, and often prefer them for this or that. But the utilitarian 75s help pay for all those other focal lengths. ;)

If it would be only one - 35 APO, but I constantly jump from 28 and 50 summiluxes to 75/2.4  summarit and back again to 35 APO. Saying that, I've just recently received 35 APO and as always with new lens, initial enthusiasm keep this lens on M 10R BP, but with M240, lens rotation is constant as well as it usage. Generally speaking, summiluxes are for subject isolation and summarit for scene compression.

The Summilux 50asph was my most used general lens, now that I have bought the Summicron 75 the latter is getting my most used lens. I think the 75mm is as versatile as the 50, but somehow offers something extra (hard to describe).

My most-used M-mount lens is the Zeiss Distagon f/1,4 35mm ZM. I use both zone/scale focusing, and rangefinder focusing, with this lens, so, it is versatile, as are 35mm lenses, in general. I actually favor my Summilux-M 50mm ASPH more, but the 35mm focal length is used for more total images, than 50mm.
