Digitalfx thank you for telling us about Zing bags!

With the right lens on my M11, my new bag cost $15.

I obviously bought the bag without the swing out cartridge section!

This is the Croots bag with a Sony A1 + 50mm lens currently in residence. However once the M11 arrives I will put that in here along with a 35mm lens attached and a 90 mm in a padded pad.

I've been using Domke for 25 years with the F2. I've also got a smaller Domke, not sure what it is - unpretentious high quality functional bags.

Using an F2 today while at jury duty!  Love the beautiful Foggs and Billinghams but nothing beats an F2 for practicality. Carried one all over Europe in the 1970s and never found a bag that is more versatile, comfortable, and low key.

Has anyone put a M10 half case on the M11 to see if it still fits and if there are adjustments to be made (besides the bottom compartment I mean - there are a few half cases that have removable bottoms for the m10 bottom plate)

Just remove the screw (easily done) and it fits perfect !

Unfortunately, the M10 half case does not fit the M11 because the tripod socket is not in the same position. Bummer, because I have 2 M10 half cases in black and the M11 black half cases are on back order.

Which one? I use it either to carry one of my Ms with three lenses of the day, or my TL with the medium and long zoom and Summilux 24. The black one that I have holds my Panasonic S5 and Voigtlander 12, Sigma 45 and Super Elmar 18. but that is of no relevance in this thread. Another bag I use is a vintage Leica Kombi Small.

Yes the Leica Combi bag was a very nice one. Should have kept mine.

Billingham is a fine bag. It keeps the rain 100% out and also the trouts.

My vote is for Billingham. I own several, but the Hadley Pro 2020 is my goto travel bag. It’s with me right now in the UK holding my new M11 in black.

So I have the Oberwerth Sling and as you see M11, 35mm, Viso 2, 135mm are all on board. I could in the place of the Viso 2 put a 90mm there if I wanted. I removed the red Oberwerth dividers as they did not do what I want. The yellow Pelican ones are bigger  and more maleable to shape.

Got the Ona Bond Street, fabric, black. At last, after a long search I found the ideal bag: it does not look like a camera bag IMO, quite compact it fits my need ie one camera/one lens (even though it can easily take another lens) and well made. Not cumbersome, it is the only bag that I can carry everywhere, every day - which was the purpose of my quest. Very easy to take my M and put it back in.

In comparison, other bags I have tried (some Billingham, K&F models) feel bulkier because of the additional "width" taken by excessive padding and the less "flexible" materials. I think the Ona Bond Street gives the right balance between protection and bulkiness with the right dimensions for those seeking something practical and compact --  worth trying.

NB: from what I have read the leather variant is heavier, but I did not try it. I also prefer something less "visually appealing" and more casual

I find the top corners of Ona bags problematic for potential water entry, unlike many of the Billingham bags, where the top flap wraps around the entire top (the small Hadley Digital is an example). This can, however, affect ease of access to gear for those who like to constantly work out of a bag (I use only for transport).  Always trade offs and different use cases. There have also been discussions here about some Ona construction and customer service issues. Others are delighted with theirs. No perfect bag IMO.

Exactly the reason why I did not buy any Oberwerth bag - the exception being the Oberwerth Sling. "No perfect bag IMO." - that is reality.

As usual, Belstaff 554 colonial shoulder bag with internal padding. It’s casual enough it doesn’t attract attention on the street, nobody would guess it has $20k+ of gear in it, but if for some reason you need to go somewhere where fashion matters, (admittedly not too often), it works well too. Better in black. Stealth is always good.

The 554 is nice.  I also like their rucksack:  https://www.belstaff.com/us/men/bags/covert-backpack-beige

I am always on the lookout for rucksacks that can accommodate a padded insert for carrying a small to midsize kit.
