A flash hot shoe, on top of the EVF, with a pass-through connection, would probably add too much bulk, to please most buyers, but I would seriously consider acquiring an overall larger EVF, with GPS and a hot shoe, or, at least, a flash synch port. The tilting feature might have to be foregone, to keep the size of the device reasonable. (I am neither an engineer, nor a marketing expert, so can only speculate.) Thank you AFAIK, no. The image stabilization is part of M11's firmware. Edited March 9, 2022 by SrMi

ejg1890 Posted March 16, 2022 Share #47 Posted March 16, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Curious if there are any advantages with the VisioFlex 2 vs the original for an M10-R? I have looked around but the VisioFlex2 will be limited to the specs of the original even with the firmware update. Is there something that I’m missing. Thanks

Plus, anyone who wants a Visoflex and might think of moving on to the M11 later should buy the new Visoflex 2 anyway. MikeMyers Posted March 17, 2022 Author Share #50 Posted March 17, 2022 .....unless they want the GPS geotagging which is only available on the previous Visoflex. Personally, now that I have the geotagging, I wouldn't want to lose it. But then again, I have no plans of switching from M10 to M11.

So the new version does NOT have geotagging capability, correct? So it appears Leica has taken away functionality? What are the options of geotagging? Utilizing the FOTOS app on the cell phone? MikeMyers Posted March 17, 2022 Author Share #52 Posted March 17, 2022 This may or may not answer your question, but I see that the geotagging adds the information to the EXIF data for the image. That seems to be the standard way to do this, meaning FOTOS on my apple devices should recognize it - I think. I don't use FOTOS, so I'm not sure about how it works. wlaidlaw Posted March 18, 2022 Share #53 Posted March 18, 2022 I don't think anyone yet knows what the FW update on the Viso 2 will achieve on the M10-R. Certainly Leica UK last week did not know what the specs of the Viso 2/M10 would be and all they knew about the FW update was that it was somewhat delayed. I have bought a Viso 2. It will have a bigger screen than the Viso 020. Wilson

tonybill Posted March 23, 2022 Share #60 Posted March 23, 2022 Not sure if this will come as news to anyone but I checked with Leica UK and just had the following response: "Thank you for your inquiry. I have just been informed by my colleagues in Germany that the firmware update to permit use of the Visoflex 2 on the M10-R will be released in April, however we don’t know yet a precise date." 1
