  1. Yes, generally, higher-resolution sensors allow better post-processing possibilities.
  2. I am not sure that is true. How have you tested? Are you talking about post processors recovering clipped channels?
  3. Yes, if you do not care about the slower electronic shutter and do not need gargantuan shadow-lifting.
  4. How do you come to that conclusion? I checked SL2-S vs SL3 on my bookshelf, zero NR or sharpening in LrC, downsized SL3's image to 6000x4000, and shot at the same exposures using ISO 1600 (f/4, 1/320) and ISO 6400 (f/4, 1/1250). As expected, SL3's ISO 1600 shows more detail and less noise than SL2-S ISO 6400. As expected, SL3's ISO 1600 and ISO 6400 show as much detail and noise as SL2-S's ISO 1600 and ISO 6400.
  5. P2P is also too often used like a drunk man uses a lamppost: more for support than for illumination.
  6. SCL6 is the new one :), but everybody understood that you meant SCL4.
  7. Isn't your battery the SCL4 (check writing on the battery)? Post #6 reports the successful charging of SCL4 batteries.
  8. That is the current readout speed in SL3.
  9. Z9 and A1 use CFExpress 2.0. I assume no currently available camera uses CFExpress 4.0. There is no CFExpress 3.0.
  10. Which camera? Many Nikon shooters use mechanical shutters at 1/2000, AFAIK.
  11. With Lumix, one could eliminate the shutter shock using EFCS. I would assume that the shutter shock exists only below 1/250 second, but one needs to check that for individual cameras. (Nikon does automatic switching from EFCS to mechanical at 1/250)
  12. I would say that SL3 requires higher photographic skills than other cameras when shooting sports or wildlife. After all, you can shoot sports with manual focus as well.
  13. Many manufacturers have an FPS limit above which AF and metering stop working (they lock at the first shot). I assume the system cannot wait for AF acquisition/update when reading the sensor frequently. P.S.: SL3 can do up to 15fps with an electronic shutter, 12-bit lossless, and no AF.
  14. Does 4fps work better than 5fps? Remember that AF does not wor above 5fps.
