  1. Another from Win Green . . .
  2. The owner (founder) of Rega plays for my table tennis club 😃🏓 As you might expect, he has a pretty impressive hi fi set up in his house as well.
  3. Dark and spooky Win Green . . .
  4. Oh dear, I have a Porsche Taycan and a Leica. Of course, you only feel the pain when selling and I will keep both. Digressing slightly, the problem with cars is that silly PCP credit deals enable people to buy something when they couldn't even afford the HP payments. I always buy new, always pay cash, only spend what I can afford, and always have a healthy trade-in to offset the cost of my next purchase. Back on topic . . . my Leica is the M10R Black Paint and Leica Mayfair have one on offer at GBP 11,800 so that model is bucking the trend. But I'm still not selling 😃
  5. Stair Hole, Jurassic Coast, West Dorset . . .
  6. Leica Mayfair seem happy to wait for the right buyer with their pricing strategy: https://classic.leica-camera.com/uk/en/lcuk/Leica-M10-R-Black-Paint-20062/20062SH-5623777?utm_source=CRM&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=701Sd000004TqnbIAC&utm_term=https%3a%2f%2fclassic.leica-camera.com%2fuk%2fen%2flcuk%2fLeica-M10-R-Black-Paint-20062%2f20062SH-5623777.
  7. That's simple. Ask ChatGPT, copy, paste, and then preferably ignore 😂

    75mm lens.

Noticed on post #11 you mentioned owning the SL with 24-70. Maybe just stick with the 50mm on M and buy SL 75mm APO. You really can't go wrong with that lens, unless of course you want to use it on the M . . . then it gets difficult 😂 By the way, I really like your Monochrom photos . . .
  9. I had something similar with M10 Mono. It was being carried in a small bag and I hadn't realised it was switched on. When I took it out it was really hot to touch, but cooled down quite quickly. I also noticed that the previously fully charged battery was down to about 20%. When I checked the SD at home to download [what I thought was] a dozen photos, I found over 1,000 blank shots. It must have firing continuously in the bag. I have since been careful not to carry any camera switched on in a small compact bag. Hasn't happened since.

    M11-D?

And he has the Tower of London for sale at a reasonable price . . .
  11. B . . . just prefer the warmer colours.
  12. If they had released the camera last week, the guessing would have started three months earlier 🤣 All part of the fun . . .
  13. Interesting discussion. My only M lenses are now two APOs, 35mm and 50mm plus the reissue 50mm f1.2 Noctilux. I bought M11 Mono to use alongside my Q3. Both 60 mpx and this set covers all my current needs. I also have M10R Black Paint, which is lovely but only cosmetic. It is used a lot less now and I do wonder whether I should swap for M11P. I actually prefer the finish of the M11 Mono to the Black Paint. Not sure if the finish of the M11P is the same as the Mono.
  14. Nice . . . the long and winding road
  15. Yes, you're right, 50mm Summilux and 90mm Summicron seem to be his most used lenses. There are no notes in his book about equipment, but I thought he used the Q as well, although I might have confused him with someone else. But 50mm crop mode still produces excellent portraits, particularly with the extra resolution of the Q3. That was really the point I wanted to make.
  16. There are many, many examples of excellent portraits taken on Q cameras, some at full 28mm, but a lot cropped to 50mm or greater. Look at the work of @Sohail or better still, buy his book The Spirit Of Sahiwal. The limitation is not the focal length of the lens, but rather the ability of the photographer.
  17. This is true but the choice of words is maybe a little harsh . . .
  18. Yes, I know and it wasn't meant to cause offence. It's street art and it's out there. You can also read the message two ways because someone has tried to tear it down. That was the point I was trying to convey. But I apologise if you (or anyone else) is offended. I'm a photographer, not a political activist.
  19. Best excuse I've seen to avoid modern technology 😂
  20. Updated via Fotos. Also took about 5 minutes.
  21. And another from Brick Lane . . . a must visit place in London. This one reminds me of the King Crimson album cover In The Court Of The Crimson King. Ah, those were the days!
