Some but not all lenses received an update (50mm 'lux). Package 5 contains all the latest updates to either 2.0 or 2.1 depending on the lens. Thanks for the info about this specific combo... it's kind of my dream lens besides my 24-90. It is large and heavy as stated above, but the photos are fantastic and couldn't be easier to get with AF. I never had a problem with Manual focusing but 80% of my shoots with this lens is autofocus... sarkleshark Posted September 29, 2021 Share #97  Posted September 29, 2021 I upgraded the latest firmware to my sl2 and 50 1.4 sl summilux. Yes it now does linear focus but I found if I turn the focus wheel quickly, the image in the viewfinder steps or jumps in a linear fashion. That is, the image doesnt focus smoothly but instead the focus point will jump, display, jump, display, jump display ect and you can hear the motor move the focus in each step. But this is only if you move the focus ring a large amount and quickly possibly due to the large elements that need to be moved. If one does finer focus and turns the focus ring more slowly or smaller amount the focus is very smooth and linear without the motor jumps. Thanks Leica!
