The 24 MP Comprarison (Strictly Subjective). Something I want to look in more deeply when my weekends and sunny weather conditions align more properly.

@Daniel C.1975 Do you also see two lemons 🍋 in your latest post? They belong to me but I didn’t want to post them. 😁 Feel free to delete them immediately. Thx!

That's funny crazy - I see them, as, I assume, everyone else. But I cannot edit this post anymore, so either we learn to live with these lemons, or a moderator is so kind and deletes them.

Cheers

Daniel

They are gone. Thanks to the moderator! Funny quirky incident though.

Your first image looks out of focus - that was the immediate difference I noticed!

How do you know where I focused? 😉 Actually the second one is out of focus due to some body movement I guess. Initially I focused the stern base. Next time I’ll use a tripod (again).

Thanks!

As far as tonality goes, the SL2-S has deeper more vibrant blues compared to the TL2. There’s also a subtle difference in the lemon yellow. It’s very minor but the SL2-S looks slightly more pale.

Well observed. However, I believe that the slightly paler image of the SL2-S is the more accurate color reproduction. Less popping RGB colors if you will. But my quick setup here (and post processing with C1) wasn’t accurate enough to be sure about that.

And ISO 25,000.

These are both straight out of camera, just converted for forums posting with no other editing. Really just posted as examples of how with images that are not underexposed the high ISO settings are usable.

St Andrew's Cross Spider with the 90-280 at ISO5000. No noise reduction. The noise that is visible in the image is not unpleasant to my eyes, in the sense that it is fairly fine and not so obvious as to distract from the overall image, although that said this is an image that I would run through Topaz if I wanted to print it.

Had a nicely delivered parcel when I came home from work: A Apo Summicron-SL 75. :)

And here is one of the very first pictures. I've also made some quick pictures of my wife - It's my first 75, but I think I will really going to love that lens.

Optical quality of the lens is of course kind of obscene 😊

Back to the SL2-S: The high-iso is really crazy. I caught my self checking the color and eye-lashes in pictures I just made with the 75 and thought: Ok, that's really, really good, but not mind boggling great ... until I realized the picture was taken at ISO6400, F2 and I was checking it at 200% magnification  :D
