And it's 1/5 of the price of a new regular 35lux fle 😂 I'm not entirely convinced by the color rendering of this lens, but I'm keeping an open eye on pictures that'll convince me. Otherwise the rendering is as good as 35/1.4 can be. I've used systems that render extreme sharpness as well as lens that has the most beautiful bokeh at mid distance (where background is the transition zone). Neither gave me the color and contrast from a Leica lens.
LucisPictor Posted August 1, 2020 Share #23 Â Posted August 1, 2020 I agree to the positive assessments. I also like the TTArtisan 1.4/35 a lot.

This is why I opted for more expensive and something like three times compact 35 1.4 II Nokton. My favorite 35 is the cv 1.4/35 ii

Andrea Bianchi Posted August 3, 2020 Share #26  Posted August 3, 2020 (edited) I was ready to buy one of them but yesterday I find out that 7Artisans is going to release a new 35 1.4; I think I'll wait and see which one is better, although the TTartisan design is on another level.  Edited August 3, 2020 by Andrea Bianchi

Maybe it will galvanise me to finally dump my 35mm Summicron ASPH.

TomB_tx Posted August 7, 2020 Share #29 Â Posted August 7, 2020 Looks like the 7-A will be a large as the TT. After using the TT for a while, I still prefer the VC 35 1.4 II for normal use due to its size. On M10 I still choose the Summarit 2.5 over both. However, both the Artisan brands are well made and perform well, at an incredible price point. If you weren't raised on small M lenses you may prefer them. I was very disappointed with the lens because it was soft wide open and was about to pass it on. Before putting it on that auction site I adjusted the focus cam again and like magic the lens came to life! It's sharp as a tack now. I've decided to keep it even though I have a Leica 35mm f1.4 asph. It's quite a good lens for the money just like all of the other 7Artisans and TTArtisans lens. I'm waiting for mine to be shipped. Can you explain the process to adjust the focus cam or a link to a source? Thanks, Bruce  Edited September 3, 2020 by bgb

Glad to hear that. I just purchased the lens, it will arrive in a few weeks. Can't wait to use it, and mostly to understand if I made the right choice: I need a fast partner for my Zeiss 35/2.8 ZM. How do you code the lens? Or better lens detection off?
