These photos were taken at Bark at the Park Night at a Kansas City Royals baseball game.  About 200 dogs came.  Here are photos of my family and two dogs we took.  Also some other dogs.

Hi everyone, Keesha passed away today.  We are devastated.

I adopted her from the animal shelter when she was a pup 16 years ago, She looked so depressed and afraid at the shelter, all on her own.  I still remember how happy and excited she was when I brought her home for the first time.

I have enjoyed posting photos here that I took of her over the years.

I know this feeling very well. We had to put our dog to sleep a few moth ago. She was 14 years old.

As we picked her up from an animal shelter she was sick with "Staupe" and her chances to make it were 50% the vet told us.

You can imagine this was a very hard time for the family dealing with this news and I can remember myself sitting on the couch crying

with the little puppy on my lap. Now alt last she made it and become a member of the family for a long happy time.

It is so very hard to say "goodbye" to a beloved pet. So much joy and unconditional love.

I read a humorous parable a few years ago which I'll succinctly paraphrase below. It goes something like this:

'How do you know who loves you more? Your wife or your dog?

Try this:

Lock your wife and your dog in the trunk of your car.

Come back in an hour; open the trunk.

See which one is happier to see you!  You will have your answer. :) '

A little bit of humor, but so very true.  Condolences to those of you who are grieving the loss of your pets.

Haha this seems to be true for me too Robert thank you for the parable !

You also can see the character of a person when you look how they tread their pets

and we all know for every love we give they give it back multiple times......

Following pictures are made on a fair in the region I live called Backhausfest
