Rainbow in B&W, 21mm

This was shot through a rain stained double glazed window.

I also shot this in color with my S, but interestingly, the B&W is a more interesting shot, because of the variation of brightness inside the arc vs outside the arc. The net effect is as if the landscape was under a dome.

Just a reminder that even the common rainbow shot can justify a second look if taken in B&W.

Would be interesting to see the S pic too, if possible. Thanks

Finally an opportunity to shoot the bane of my existence. I look forward to these little yellow flowers popping.

Seriously I wanted to see if the M10M had UV and IR capabilities like the M246 did. For testing UV I break away from using pure M mount lenses. M10M + Nikkor 105mm UV with a UG11XX filter.

Last evening I went out with the M10M and my Swarovski ATS-80 Spotting Scope to capture the moon. It was an 18% Waxing Crescent. I set the spotting scope eyepiece on 20X power, which is equivalent to 1000mm FF focal length. The scope was solidly mounted on a tripod. I then held the M10M 35 ASPH FLE up against the eyepiece and shot around 50 images at various shutter speeds and apertures. From 1/60 - 1/2000 / sec. This is the best of the lot. The settings were 1/180, f/4, ISO 400.

I'll again say how impressed I am with the M10M. The shadow recovery and detail is simply amazing. This kind of shot is not for everyone's liking, but I find it fun because it's an out of the ordinary use of a fantastic camera and lens. There is an amazing amount of detail in the image.
