Great light, is it a gidgee? Or similar acacia

.

Yes it might be, it looks like one, it was buried amongst a number of other trees, got there just as the light was starting to filter through to it.

I am really enjoying your Monochrom set of photos.  You know resistance is futile - you cannot have an indefinite loan so you will have to buy this camera eventually, and preferably with the 50mm APO, even if it means selling some of your Canon stuff.  With the high resolution sensor 50mm is all you need and it makes a great combo with the Q2 (for colour).

Snow in Colorado and sun in Essex (UK) which is where I live.  Actually, at the moment, I think I’d rather be in Colorado.  Isn’t that a John Denver song?  Keep it up👍

M10M 75mm APO-Summicron ASPH f2 at f/4, ISO 6400, 0.7 sec, on a tripod, but no shutter release.

I was amazed when I opened this on the computer and saw the Orion Nebula. I wasn't intentionally shooting Orion, but knew it was up. I actually spent more time shooting Jupiter. This was a bit after sunset yesterday, April 18, with some sunset glow still in the sky. I took a couple of shots at ISO 800, with a significant reduction in noise. If it is clear again I'm looking forward to trying some more. I've also uploaded a full resolution crop of Orion's Belt, with the nebula in the middle. It's off on the left side of the big image. The camera definitely sees more than the naked eye. Also, Jupiter was quite blown out in almost all of my shots, but there was a slight bit of haze. In post processing I slightly darkened the exposure and the shadows, so I should be able to open the lens a bit and increase the shutter speed and lower the ISO... maybe!

This is a reshoot of a formerly handheld shot at 1/15.

I placed the camera on a tripod so I could use LeicaFOTOS to control the shutter and move into the scene myself.

The shot is ISO 20,000.   1/15th. f 4.0.  12mm lens.
