Handheld at 1/8th of a second, ISO 6400 and f:3.2. I'll post some 100% crops, the details you get in the low lights are really unbelievable...

The details-to-noise ratio in this picture is amazing.

Sorry for the lack of interest of the photo itself, but I wanted to share this one as I am really impressed by the low lights capability of this camera. We are here in the complete dark, as you can presume by looking at the candles high lights. Handheld at 1/8th of a second, ISO 6400 and f:3.2. I'll post some 100% crops, the details you get in the low lights are really unbelievable... And no focus issue thanks to IBIS...

Because of its OIS, I have produced very usable photos with the (original) Q in similar conditions with a similar shutter speed; but nothing remotely as detailed and rich in color with such low noise. And I wouldn't think even the Q2 with a similar sensor as the SL2 could do it with so little noise.

I did spend a couple of hours in an historic open air museum with the SL2 and my L-lenses. Good opportunity for outside and inside photography and to get used to work with the camera. The one photo posted below has been shot with the Summicron 90SL. For those interested in seeing the entire series, pls follow the link to a web site created from LR with Adobe's Spark page.

Hello,

Just got my SL2 last Friday.

Some few tests with VE-SL 24-90, VE-SL 90-280 and VE-TL 55-135. Very happy with what has been delivered with this last combo, which is offering a very light 80-200 equivalent at 21 Mp. Resolving power is more than enough to keep cropping with this TL lens, on top of IBIS opening more possibilities. It was not the same with the SL, even if quality was good enough for books or albums.

24-90 @ 64 mm

Very nice. I'm likely headed in the same direction, so very interested in the TL zoom pairing with the SL2. Jono in his review also praised that combination.

Of course, the compression for a forum edition makes all images looking quite the same. But trust me that the uncropped HD file is looking great, and so does the cropped one.

And, to compare, here is a version of the same photo taken with the 90-280 @ 280 mm (hence keeping the full resolution of the sensor).

I'm sold! It's inconceivable, given my age and travel pattern, that the L tele is in my future; this is a wonderful, light alternative. Thanks for posting these.
