SL2+75SL. Actually the first real shot with the camera ;). Nothing special, but the transition towards the highlight is very, very smooth, which is a big plus in my book (if this turns out to be the case, more generally). And a brilliant clarity at 100 %, as expected...

Very cool examples.  Glad to see you got your SL2.  I have been travelling and jet-lagged since I got mine - and settling into a new house - The SL has scarcely been exercised other than family pictures, which I'm banned from posting :-(.

Hahaa,...glad you have gotten yours as well. I will only get to use more next month on family vacation.

Great to see everyone enjoying their SL2s! Maybe it's my preference that's all but I'm surprised that many of the images I'm seeing look somewhat dark for some reason  with ( what I call) 'murky' color quality. I wish someone would take pictures in nice outdoor lighting ( sun? ) or some landscapes so I can see better the color quality that is coming from the camera's files. Too many dimly lit interiors for me. It must be the  burning desire to test the IS and high ISO ability, or maybe it's just the weather?

I think they look terrific. A lot of early photos were necessarily taken inside Leica stores. But still, photos look nicely vivid, and not crassly so, to me.

The 50 Cron is just outstanding in its resolving ability.  Here’s a shot then a 4x crop from close distance.  Notice how well it keeps details even at magnification.  Very impressed.  This is coming from a converted A7r4 shooter with some of Sony’s nicer lenses.

I'm posting this image, shot with the 75mm Noctilux, because elsewhere in the SL2 discussion, there was a question about whether the SL2 is prone to purple or green fringing when shooting wide open with fast lenses. I don't see it.

Try shooting with some level of back light. The best location to check is the edge between back light & darker subject such as human hair against sky in a portrait.

Had a great time with the SL2, 35 Cron and some dad/son park time.  Coming from Sony, the Summicrons are just unmatched.  The Sony 135GM is similar but the FOV is very limiting.  The Sigma 35/1.2 is a different ball game, not better or worse.

Still haven't figured everything out yet, in my hands for less than half a day, but two things for certain, this camera is certainly weather proof, and it is absolutely killer. Minimal processing in LR and SEfex.

Another walkabout in the rain test shot. Leica 75mm shot at 1/5" hand held in the weather at ISO 1600.  Can't wait to use this thing for real.
