I know this is a photo thread, but the IBIS system in the SL2 defies logic.  My a7r iv has, on paper, the same number of stops of image stabilization.  It seems that from some of the images here and my own experience with the Q2, there is a tremendous difference between how Leica is implementing it.  My Q2 arrives Monday.  I will be ordering my SL2 on Monday as well.  Keep the images coming - they're inspirational.

From my experience, yes, the Panny IBIS is much more effective than Sony. But the OIS on the Q/Q2 is rather poor by today's standards. I'd say provides 2-3 stops of stabilization.

That's encouraging, as I'm able to hand hold the Q2 at 1/10 without issue for static subjects - although that's at 28mm.  I'll primarily be shooting at 50mm, but even so I may be able to see even slower shutter speeds and keep the ISO down in lower light.

Less compressed JPEG here: https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-3STNss/ Check out the detail by zooming in. This is just slightly straightened.

SL2 + 35 Summicron-SL.  This is slightly cropped (because now we can 😀), but this lens seems as sharp wide open as at f/4.

Let's show this lady one more time.  This is upsized in ON1 Resize and then cropped quite a bit. 😁

Okay, with the 35 Summicron-SL at f/5.6 one can count this guy's hairs on his legs and head.  This was upsized with ON1 Resize and the second one shows a crop.

With 60mm Macro-Elmarit-TL on SL2, f/8, 1/160, ISO 6400, AFs Spot.  I put the TL lens on to use the stabilization feature.  Experimented with various shutter speeds.  It happened that this image came out best.  Also tried with slow shutter (1/25) and AFc.
