Since I only had  a canon to M adaptor and M to L, all I can do set a 135mm f4.

But yesterday I ordered a FD to L adaptor so let’s see what options I will get?

I see. For the IBIS to properly work, it is important to set the correct (exact) focal length of the lens. When you mount the FD2L adapter, you will likely get up both M and R lenses, simply because SL2 doesn't recognise the FD2L adapter, and therefore treats it as a dummy adapter. In this case you can chose a corresponding lens from the list of R-lenses. This is at least how I do it. The down side is that there will be in-body corrections based on the R-lens you chose. The corrections may not be large, but this depends on the chosen R-lens. On the Panasonic S1R, you set the focal length when an unrecognised lens is mounted. I would like to see the same on SL2, without going into the lists of R- and M-lenses. Therefore the request

Just got my SL2. Sold my SL and S1R as SL2 seems the best of both. Just had to walk outside and snap a picture with the Leica L 35mm Summicron.

...starting to think that IBIS is one of the biggest enhancements of the SL2 over the SL(Type601). VE 24-90mm @ 1/8sec (maybe not really a challenge for IBIS...) and ISO 1000.
