Yes . . . 500 divided by the focal length will give you the maximum exposure with start trails.  To be on the safe side, you should dial back a second or two, so:

90mm focal length = 5.5 seconds or maybe 3 seconds to be safe; 50mm 8-10 seconds; 35mm 12-14 seconds; 28mm 16-18 seconds.  ISO values (or aperture) will only affect whether the exposure is good or not and doesn't affect the start trail calculation.

The best way to go is with stacking as @Jared has demonstrated - beautiful photos by the way.
