I narrow shaft of light hit one of the geranium flowers in the back room of our house so I grabbed the Q2 and set it on macro. The geraniums will be planted in the back garden when we get to the point where nighttime temperatures aren't so close to freezing.

I went to my favorite place this weekend. Cabins like this are scattered around in Norway. Build by timber on the spot, this one is well over 100 yrs old. Originally (and still) used during hunting season and for "forest-men".

By forest-men, do you mean dwellers?  How do you know if someone is already staying there?

I’m sorry for my variable English. I keep telling my daughters to aim for fluent English-language, as I believe it’s extremely important in todays world.
Nevertheless, what I mean are lumberjacks and bohemians, fishermen and hunters. In mysterious ways, I was offered to buy that cabin some years ago. It’s not costly, but very rarely for sale. So today it’s mine. The whole forest is actually my property. I spent every penny I had to buy it all. To make sure nobody else destroyed this pristine land. And simply to preserve it for generations to come.

I did the same thing here 40 years ago, buying a large piece of pristine land so that it would be protected and allowed to evolve naturally. The only alteration was building this little cabin. The land has become a sanctuary for a lot of animals who seem to have figured out they are safe there. Last October I saw the largest buck I've ever seen in my life just a hundred meters or so from the cabin.

Black Earth Creek, a Class A trout stream, runs right through the middle of the small town of Cross Plains, WI. It's just a few miles west of the city where I live so I took advantage of the nice weather and had lunch on the grassy bank then did a little fishing.
