I just bought my Q2 so this is a first attempt to upload, and to ask advice on two aspects.  I cropped this photo to a 1:2 ratio and I used Capture One 21 Pro with their processing recipe.  Their default sharpness setting for screen sharpening is Amount 80, Radius 0,6 and Threshold 0.  Those of you who create your JPEG images for posting here, is this default sharpening recipe the best compromise?  When I recipe proof before processing the image looks much sharper than in the forum post.

Kind of hard to tell from the screen shot, but when magnified, in the post, it may actually be a bit over sharpened.  At least it looks that way, looking at the center group of trees.  Not criticizing, just an observation.  A look at 100% of the center may tell a different story.  Nice photo.

Camping at Topaz Lake, NV, I spotted these trees almost directly overhead and thought they might look good.  I was thinking of B&W, but thought of a different treatment.  I adjusted as I wanted in Lightroom, then instead of turning it to B&W, I just desaturated the blue channel while increasing saturation a bit on the yellow and green channels.  This is what I got.  ISO 200, f-8, 1/60 with polarizer.  View it large if you can.

Thought I would include the original color version and a traditional B&W.  Any preferences among the three?

Slightly different view of some of the trees.  I think I like the vertical better.

Although I'm a B&W lover, I like most the original color version.
