Advertisement Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Hi ldhrads, Take a look here Lens Flipper. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Ko.Fe. Posted September 9, 2019 Share #2 Posted September 9, 2019 Huge and Ugly. IMO. I don''t even want to know what this flipping piece is. Leica M is way to beautiful and complete to have some PoS like this attached to it. IMO.
jaeger Posted September 9, 2019 Share #3 Posted September 9, 2019 put 10+ grand of lenses on chest... 😅
danieldouloslee Posted September 9, 2019 Share #4 Posted September 9, 2019 (edited) certainly leica prices... 🤣 PS, does anyone else find it ridiculous that the Leica M mount version costs $200 (3x) more than the other mounts?! 250swb Posted September 9, 2019 Share #5 Posted September 9, 2019 It looks beautifully made and presented, good enough to get one and just look at it in the box. I like the way it's demonstrated in the photos and is ideally designed to catch all the fluff, micro fibres, crumbs, and pet hairs shed from your clothes. 1 1
luigi bertolotti Posted September 9, 2019 Share #6 Posted September 9, 2019 Wasn't there around an accessory to Mount a pair of M lenses vertically onto the bottom plate ? a 90/135 could also be used as a handle…

Sam Posted September 9, 2019 Share #8 Posted September 9, 2019 Nothing against the gizmo, but I would be nervous as hell with any lens, especially an expensive one, dangling from my neck. If I'm in that much of a hurry I'll bring my Canon 5DMIV and a zoom lens. Shooting Leica is slower and more methodical to me.
Nick_S Posted September 9, 2019 Share #9 Posted September 9, 2019 If the two strap mountings are removable, it could be a useful way to stack to 2 lenses vertically in a camera bag -- certainly safer than two rear lens caps glued together back-to-back. Dao De Leitz Posted September 9, 2019 Share #11 Posted September 9, 2019 (edited) On the trip I transport single lenses in jacket pockets or backpacks. For the fast flying change of lenses I need a secure fixation, because I usually have no storage, place - similar to a photo bag - available. Welcome, dear visitor! SonomaBear Posted September 9, 2019 Share #12 Posted September 9, 2019 I have a “flipper” for my Canon glass but only used it when needing 3 lenses. Never leave a mount open. They collect dirt. Dont use it anymore since a very small compartment bag, swung around in front of me, is a handy, clean, safe, lens holder. now that I’m primarily using M glass in the field, a very small old Domke bag can hold a 21, 50, 90, 135 and my Canon R with M adapter! lct Posted September 9, 2019 Share #13 Posted September 9, 2019 I could not do w/o one or two coupling rings in my small bags personally. Allows for mounting two lenses back to back and saves a lot of room this way. Been using mines since the eighties. I don't think they are being sold by Leica anymore but they were still available for R and M lenses in the nineties at least as they were listed in the manual of my L6J. Here's the M version, code 14838. Only con it has no center partition so mounting two protruding lenses is impossible or dangerous for the rear elements. Welcome, dear visitor! darylgo Posted September 9, 2019 Share #14 Posted September 9, 2019 The M is such a beautiful camera, over the years I am stripping off all the peripherals that clutter it, no case, no thumbs-up, no soft release, evf only when necessary, one lens. When I do change lenses my wife is kind enough to help me out, the gadgets help but an extra hand is invaluable and a great companion :-).

luigi bertolotti Posted September 10, 2019 Share #19 Posted September 10, 2019 imho, if one VALUES the few seconds of difference between using such a "potientally risky" gizmo and taking your lens from a safe bag… is better to have a zoomed camera
pico Posted September 10, 2019 Share #20 Posted September 10, 2019 Better to carry two or three cameras.
