Time to get this thread going again. Someone mentioned they dislike the bokeh and find it distracting. I find it quite appealing.

The Lux 28 is one of the few modern Leica lenses which have a very unique look. I really like the drawing character of this beauty! Nice photographs, keep the coming! We really need to reactivate this thread!

Nice shot, but also depicts my main issue with using the 28 lux on an M body. You use a face to align the RF patch right in the middle on the frame and quickly press the shutter by fear of losing focus. As a result, one (subjectively) leaves too much head space.

Also depicts my problem with M10D! you dont see the shot, so you dont fix it.

I think the tendency to center subjects happens with all M lenses, not just the 28 lux. If anything, it's much easier to recompose without losing focus with a 28mm due to the inherent dof. Easily correctable with a bit of practice.

Great images here. My Q2 has been stolen, and I decided to buy a M-28/1.4 for my M10-r instead of getting a Q2 again. Nothing against the Q2 and its lens, it is just that at the moment I am having a lot of fun again to use the M with its optical viewfinder, plus I can use the lens on my M as well as on my SL2.

I have to wait some about 2 weeks for the lens, so this thread helps to get through the waiting time ;)

This is just such a great portrait. I've come back to this thread several times just to look at it again. Fantastic work.

Ooohhh, thank you so very much :) To be honest, it is also my favourite image! We had such a tremendous hike...we thought that the trail would be rather easy to tackle...but in the end, it turned out to be an enormously exhausting task! I don't really fall in love with lenses but the Lux 28 is just such a gem. For me, it really is capable of enabling photographers to capture a real photograph.
