If we get 47MPS, Maestro III, OLED-EVF, 4k-Video ..., it's a big challenge for the aged BP-DC12.

And UHS-II card slot. I agree. One of the unknowns for me to learn about. No camera is perfect. I’m sure Leica has worked hard to optimize power mgmt while keeping the Q2 the same size as the Q. I hope they were successful.

That Ricoh takes very nice pictures.  Personally though I still prefer the Q based on what I see in that video.  I wouldn't say one or the other is "better" just produce a different feel/mood.  Hard to say definitively though as the video is obviously a professionally produced and curated product where-as most of the Q pics I've seen are amateur - mine, here, Insta, for instance.

How will the Q2 EVF and rear screen handle the crop for 75mm? Any ideas if something will be different than on the Q because those 75mm crop lines are going to be really small.

Smaller than the 50mm frames, but usable with care. Although not an ideal framing guide.

Yeah I was never a fan of the images shot by a GR. Somehow they all look the same. Over-sharpened with high contrast and underexposed. Often monochrome with dark tones. Color photos have a blue-ish tint.

It is an EVF and electronics can manipulate the frame/vision. I think you are envisioning the M mount with the frames lines for a 90mm lens. That doesn't have to be the case with the new Q.

Q2's US MSRP will be around $5995.
Q-P MSRP is $4995.
Q MSRP is $3995 now.

That Leica Ginza post nails it.
Leica Q-P in japan is ¥ 658,800.
their rumored price is around ¥ 800,000  refers to a 20% markup above the Q-P.
escapes me why someone just did a currency conversation in the earlier post.

Ridiculous money, Leica needs to be careful it doesn’t cross the boundary between expensive and desirable to silly and embarrassing, if I saw someone with a q2 over their shoulder at that price I’d feel sorry for them and move on

I know we all know this, but Leica's pricing scheme is ALWAYS ridiculous. I am sure that you and many look at it as 6000 dollars for a compact camera with competitors for half the price, but they think, wow, we are giving them a 28mm summilux with a camera for less than the cost of a 28mm summilux alone.

Threading the needle of keeping the price low enough that people will still buy, while at the same time keeping it high enough for their bottom line is tricky.

I am currently in the same boat with the S...given the Fuji GFX series, X1D, S1R and so on, I am hoping that the new S3 will be more competitively priced, but I am, unfortunately, not holding my breath.

I agree about the f1.7 lens being included but still, the game has changed, every manufacture has a camera as good if not better for half the price, when you consider its pretty much all Panasonic on the inside of that beautiful leica skin

I wonder if this would heavyly be contradicted. Do we thinkthat Leica is Leica-labeled Panasonic?
