Infantasy Posted August 24, 2018 Share #401 Posted August 24, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just upgraded the firmware after got my new M10. Every time I select Auto in the lense detection that it only showed the last manually selected lenses type, e.g. 50 f2 etc. As I do not have 6-bit lenses, I cannot prove whether it will change to Auto if a coded lenses is attached. Can anyone please advise whether it is normal or not.

indergaard Posted August 29, 2018 Share #402 Posted August 29, 2018 2.4.5.0 - Macro-Elmar-M 4/90 is displayed as 3.99/90 while reviewing images made with the lens (the lens is coded).
adan Posted August 29, 2018 Share #403 Posted August 29, 2018 (edited) Same for the 135 f/4 Tele-Elmar ("3.99/135"). However, the EXIF later in Adobe Bridge is correct: Lens: Tele-Elmar 1:4/135 Max. Aperture Value: f/4.0 Edited August 29, 2018 by adan

This has been true with all firmware versions.

kafenio Posted September 7, 2018 Share #406 Posted September 7, 2018 (edited) i am missing a "one click zoom to 100%" function in image review mode. so basically the same functionality that the function button on the front has when using live view with uncoded lenses, just for image playback. Touchscreen may be the answer to what you want in M10-P . "The double tap to check focus if needed is very intuitive and quick" dixit SiOnara SiOnara post #125 of this thread : https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/287694-leica-m10-p-with-level-gauge-touchscreen-and-a-much-quieter-shutter/page-7 Yeah really happy with my upgrade too. I went from silver M10 to black M10P. Love the shutter. The touch screen is wonderfully responsive. The double tap to check focus if needed is very intuitive and quick. SiOnara Posted September 15, 2018 Share #409 Posted September 15, 2018 Think there is another very small bug. When I select a profile to load onto the camera it normally says 'active' in red for a second so know you've activated that particular profile. I've noticed it's very sporadic on the M10P. Sometimes it says it, sometimes not.

pico Posted September 27, 2018 Share #412 Posted September 27, 2018 (edited) when we try to change ISO in the menu it should be greyed-out unless the ISO dial is in 'M'. Or the menu should over-ride the dial (unlikely?) Edited September 27, 2018 by pico
mdemeyer Posted September 28, 2018 Share #413 Posted September 28, 2018 (edited) I think this one can go either way... depends how you think about it. If (like me) you think of the menu as “setting the ISO for when the wheel is set to M”, it is correct as-is. If you think of it as “set the wheel to M and then set the ISO in the menu”, enabling the menu only with the wheel on M makes more sense. I think some people will consider it a bug either way.. when we try to change ISO in the menu it should be greyed-out unless the ISO dial is in 'M'. Or the menu should over-ride the dial (unlikely?) pico Posted September 28, 2018 Share #414 Posted September 28, 2018 If (like me) you think of the menu as “setting the ISO for when the wheel is set to M”, it is correct as-is. Good point. Considering it again, it behaves properly as-is. When the wheel is on M, then the ISO as set in the menu offers settings not on the dial.
Reciprocity Posted September 28, 2018 Share #415 Posted September 28, 2018 Have u found a solution or has it been fixed yet? I was about to send the camera in and was told to hold off because they are getting more reports of it and find it is actually not the orientation sensor, don’t yet have a fix. What we were expecting to do is have a tech at Leica NJ redo the firmware but since I just upgraded to the latest one and it persists, that is not the solution either. So I am in a holding pattern on this, not fun at all on big jobs but I get a break on those for a couple months so it is what it is.

I think some people will consider it a bug either way.. re ISO switch failure. Correct. But I don’t see it as a bug. It’s clearly the Manual option. If the wheel is constantly set to M, the ISO can be determined by the menu preset. Various (4) ISO settings can then be assigned by using the profiles. While I’m on a long distance trip, I’m considering avoiding the use of the rotary switch and using the menu as my primary selector. Of course, you have to ignore all other options and leave the switch on M. It takes commitment and more time to make changes. But the inconvenience to you of ISO switch failure is removed. colorflow Posted October 2, 2018 Share #417 Posted October 2, 2018 Unfortunately the Summilux 35 double aspherical 11873 is still not in the manual lens codes of 2.6.5.0. I made this request to Leica USA months ago and even received a reply from Customer Care Leitz Park assuring me it will be included in the next release. Now they replied Customer Care could not get the Product Manager to include this rare lens ??? I really think it is necessary just for identification purpose. I have other Lux 35's. kArthie Posted October 5, 2018 Share #418 Posted October 5, 2018 (edited) M10 and M10-P Firmware: 2.6.5.0 and 2.6.5.1 respectively When I accidentally press into the WLAN menu, it activates WIFI automatically which it takes time. So, I turn it off by selecting "Turn WLAN off" right after as it's turning on. The screen went off but the WLAN continues to be activated. This will happen while the WLAN is being activated. If the WLAN turns on completely, this will be fine I can turn off WLAN by selecting "Turn WLAN off". The next firmware should have ability to kill the WLAN activation and do not turn the screen off after selecting "Turn WLAN off".
