  1. Register it, and Leica will refuse to change the ownership again without evidence. after that No one else can change the ownership record. It is quick and hassle free to change the official record held at Wetzlar. Having the equipment on your shelf proves nothing. Good luck with your method.
  2. @smogg @le7 Only you can de-register your camera once you have registered it or sell it. If you dont register it, someone else can. Also, I would never discuss/show the serial number. ownership cant be changed unless you cancel on the personal online Leica membership site. Its safe and proof of ownership. I would advise you to take advantage of this feature.
  3. why would you want to edit something you authored and paid for? its pointless. You must realise that CA isnt available yet. Its a long way off . No point in speculating about its features.
  4. good question. CA would have to be switched off, or fields in the CA module selectively locked . Editable CA is pointless if all fields are editable. More thought needed.
  5. well..that sounds easy! But for how long and how much? $1000 + and six months?... After the chip is designed, manufactured and tested on a new main board. New software and menu. bugs to be discovered.
  6. Vincent Vega was one of the three protagonists (alongside Jules Winnfield and Butch Coolidge) of Quentin Tarantino's 2nd film Pulp Fiction.
  7. found it. used. M10-r bp in the uk. £12000 https://classic.leica-camera.com/uk/en/lcuk/Leica-M10-R-Black-Paint-20062/20062SH-5655168
  8. can't find that. New or second hand? Give me a pointer please.
  9. malvolio LCT is just curious.😸

    New strap!

to be fair, other straps are available from other excellent manufacturers. we just dont have threads for them! Thank goodness.
  11. Thanks Scott. I'm settled with M10-r. For me, the file sizes from the M11 were too large.
  12. I'm very pleased with my new M10-r. I use it with lenses from 21mm to 135. Didn't want to get involved with the M11. Hated the M240. Dumped it within a week.. Started with an M9-P. Still regret selling it.
  13. Thanks for your advice. No effort required. I am already fine. No one needs to agree with me. I haven't asked for that.. But I'm speaking on behalf of all the contributors on this part of the forum who are interested in facts, not jokes. . The fact is that Live view is slow... always. It is very awkward. It isn't really appropriate or useful for live shooting? However, each to their own. Use Barnacks Bar for non-specific debates and fun.
  14. why kid. If you are trying to explain your comments, then be more objective. I think you dont have good reason to criticise another body. If you are using live view and find it slow, I suspect you arent using your cameras optimally.
  15. why use live view at all.? Optical viewfinder is much faster. How did you manage before the M10 or M11. Where can we see your images?
  16. what was wrong with M10 live view? What M10 were you using 50 years ago? How does the M11 differ from the M10 in terms of Live View. I don't understand your comments about the M10 for traditional photographers. Please check your comment. It makes no sense!
  17. there are conditions attached to the offer. Only residents of NewZealand qualify!
  18. Thats interesting. Maybe such a scheme could be rolled out to other countries. Thanks for clearing that up.
  19. aahhh. I see. But that isnt a Leica offer! Its an independent dealer special. I doubt that Leica dealers will copy it. Its a big giveaway. Thanks.
  20. Can't find any evidence to verify the authenticity of this offer, New Zealand don't respond to enquiries. Website doesn't contain any offers. Seems like wishfull thinking by the OP🫤. Can the OP elaborate?
  21. to you and a few others.......maybe? so what? Not me. I take photographs.
  22. Why would you expect that? A few would buy it, but not the numbers buying conventional "M". And.......Do you realise that each model with something removed is priced higher. Its a screwy proposal just based on your "wants". What market research have you undertaken and shared with Leica. It could result in additional costs to Leica, massive shortages and loss of existing customers. Perhaps there is a demand for some quantity of Mxxx-s. It would supplement the M range. Not replace it.
  23. whaaaat! no rocket blower? no printed manual? cloth? coins for emergencies? painkillers for your bad back? I always carry spare batteries for my hearing aid!
  24. leica UK (Mayfair) will collect, repair, and return your Q quickly. I had similar work done. I can't say whether it will be free or not. Mine was still within warranty. My model Q was an early one and not dustproof. On its return i sold it. Call them and allow them to make the collection arrangements. Good luck.
